It's not clear whether the troops will actually be deployed, but it suggests the U.S. military presence in Europe is under strain.

Byron Donalds is awesome, but I did not think the President and Vice President are allowed to be from the same state.

Grounded in his unshakeable belief in America’s founding principles, Governor DeSantis has enacted a bold agenda to transform Florida into a blueprint for the Nation’s revival. Governor DeSantis has delivered win after win on conservative priorities:

Saving livelihoods from job-killing lockdowns and vaccine mandates Protecting citizens from the harmful impacts of Biden’s border crisis by enacting E-Verify and other bold policies against illegal immigration, such as banning sanctuary cities Defending parental rights and eliminating CRT Defunding DEI bureaucracy in higher ed and holding tenured professors accountable Waging war on woke power-grabs like ESG and central bank digital currency Enacting the strongest medical freedom laws in the nation Turning Florida into a model for election integrity Protecting the unborn Standing up for the 2nd Amendment by making Florida a constitutional carry state Expanding education freedom Prohibiting land purchases by the CCP and related individuals and entities Lowering prescription drug costs Holding woke corporations and school unions accountable Creating a universal school choice program Delivering record-breaking tax relief Helping families achieve the American dream of homeownership Supporting law enforcement and our veterans Enacting tougher penalties for drug dealers and sex offenders Appointing seven conservative justices to the Florida Supreme Court ...and so much more. After leading Florida with common sense and conviction throughout his first term, DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory of nearly 20 points in 2022. He earned his second term by the largest raw vote margin in state history, winning by more than 1.5 million votes.

But history didn’t stop there:

Governor DeSantis flipped Miami-Dade County red, winning the majority-Hispanic urban county by double digits. Conventional wisdom assumed this was impossible for a Republican – as recently as 2016, Hillary Clinton won Miami-Dade County by nearly 30 points.

Governor DeSantis flipped several other blue counties red, including Palm Beach County. He won 62 out of 67 counties overall.

Compared to his first statewide election in 2018, Governor DeSantis was up +19% with Independents, up +30% with Hispanics, and up +9% with women.

Governor DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory with battle-tested leadership, a bold policy agenda, and never backing down to corporate media or special interests. As he said at his inauguration: “When the world lost its mind – when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue – Florida was a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans and even for people around the world. In captaining the ship of state, we choose to navigate the boisterous sea of liberty rather than cower in the calm docks of despotism.”

Governor DeSantis has ensured that Florida is a free and safe place to raise a family. Thanks to the governor’s leadership, Floridians enjoy a low tax burden, quality education opportunities, and a bulwark in place against the Biden Administration’s overreach and various elite power grabs that seek to force people to adopt a particular ideology. Thanks to the governor’s vision, this year’s legislative session delivered the most ambitious conservative policy victories in Florida’s history.

This year, Governor DeSantis signed:

Record tax relief ESG prohibitions Measures counteracting the influence of the CCP The strongest medical freedom protections in the nation. Reforms reducing the costs of medications by delivering transparency Bold higher education reforms; defunding DEI Improvements to our state’s infrastructure Tough-on-crime, law and order measures, including the death penalty for child rapists The strongest measures protecting Florida from Biden’s border crisis Reforms for paycheck protection, holding accountable wayward school unions Prohibitions on centralized digital currencies in Florida No leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor DeSantis. He is now sharing his bold vision with the country, leading a movement to deliver the Great American Comeback.

Donald Trump’s main defense when it comes to his indictment for shocking and dangerous mishandling of highly classified documents so far seems to be that the Presidential Records Act says he did nothing wrong. The only problem is that Trump is claiming that the Act means the opposite of what it says, and after years of warnings from NARA, he should know it.

No longer would Michigan’s fifteen electoral votes go to the presidential candidate who wins support from a majority of the state’s voters. Rather, they would be assigned to whichever candidate gets the most total votes across all the nation’s various state election systems.

So the loser of presidential elections in Michigan would often receive all of Michigan’s electoral votes, with the outcome decided instead by the voters in California, New York, Florida, Texas, and Illinois.

New York has 19 million residents, California 39 million, Texas 32 million, Florida 22 million. Michigan has a population of only about 10 million — not much more than metropolitan Chicago, which one can travel through by car in less than an hour.

This doesn’t just dilute the vote of Michiganders — it obliterates it. The Founding Fathers were careful to devise a system where smaller states and less urban populations had a fair say in electing the president.

DeSantis needs to explain why Florida still uses voting machines - it is inexplicable to me.

"To win over GOP primary voters who supported Trump in the past two cycles, these candidates have to speak to the injustice that was done in 2020, they have to admit what happened, name who did it, and affirm that we cannot have a self-governing republic if that’s how our elections are going to be.

And therein lies the problem for a candidate like DeSantis — to say nothing of such winsome and meritorious gunners like Vivek Ramaswamy or Tim Scott. How can you decry what they did to Trump in one breath and in the next proclaim that you’re the best person to redress those grievances? That Trump should stand aside and let you, Nikki Haley, restore faith in American elections and put Democrats in their place."

Republican presidential primary: More at stake than just the White House - Roll Call

Republican primary voters cannot let their loyalty to Donald Trump make them forget about controlling the House and Senate.

Trump has an “independent problem” that isn’t going away. His win-loss record in the past three elections, especially with independents, may well be his Achilles’ heel in the primaries if his opponents can articulate not only why winning in 2024 is so crucial but also how they can bring back independents to the GOP. https://rollcall.com/2023/07/12/republican-presidential-primary-more-at-stake-than-just-the-white-house/

As of July 1, in addition to Vermont, four other states’ IDs will face extra scrutiny from police, as they may provide forms of identification to applicants who do not give proof of citizenship or legal status:

Delaware
Connecticut
Hawaii
Rhode Island
The law directs Florida police officers to write a ticket to anyone they pull over who has what is now recognized as an invalid license.

The RNC’s debate plans have a major, largely unnoticed problem

As the 51-day qualifying period begins on Saturday, a review of FiveThirtyEight’s database of GOP primary polling nationally and in the four early “carve out” states shows that only two polls out of 70 conducted in the previous 51 days would meet those requirements.

While it’s a good bet that there will be at least three qualifying polls conducted between now and the Aug. 21 deadline, the RNC’s criteria could spell trouble for candidates outside of the five polling leaders: former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.).

We must take a look at the root causes of election issues. For example, cleaning up voter rolls is good and must be done but how do we prevent voter rolls from being contaminated with fake voters in the future? Moving the voter rolls from ERIC is a good and necessary step.

Detective controls like periodically looking for records in voter rolls related to phantom voters are great. They must be done.

But we must ask how did the names get there in the first place? Preventative controls are what we must be focused on. These types of controls will prevent the phantom votes from making it into the voter rolls in the first place.

It might be that new election technology that very few individuals are talking about to date is the key. Companies like BPro, KNOWiNK, and more have voter roll modules. Are individuals using this software given free rein to add names to voter rolls? Are these systems connected to ERIC? Are bad actors given access?

If we want to save free and fair elections we must win and to do that we must identify the root causes of the many issues in our election processes and implement preventative controls so that we can prevent fraud in our future elections. We have to implement preventative controls because after the election is stolen we will not be able to save it.

I now know where the mules got their ballots. Straight from the post office in returned/undeliverable mail.

While I have zero proof of where they ended up, I had those ballots you were talking about in my mail bag with wrong addresses or lacking apartment numbers or even people that moved and still had ballots delivered to their old apartment.

We put those ballots in a basket and someone came by and picked them up.

Hundreds or even thousands of ballots. Who picked them up, where did they go?

Now we know why signature match was removed…

Someone needs to investigate the post office and their democratic union run activities.
