Transcript:
Charlie Brown and Patty sit amidst their building blocks. She asks,"Why don't you stay for supper, Charlie Brown?"
He stands and asks,"What are you having?" She starts packing up her toys and replies,"I think it's going to be pork chops"
She stands and looks at him puzzled as he stands next to the table talking on the phone. He asks,"Hello, mom? What were we going to have for supper tonight? Stew?"
She frowns as he says,"I'll stay!"

Patty and Violet are sitting on the doorsteps. Patty says,"I guess we really shouldn't talk this way about Charlie Brown..."
She continues,"After all, he's a pretty good guy" Violet slouches on the steps and replies,"Sure, he is"
Patty continues,"Good ol' Charlie Brown..." Violet is sitting back up and smiling.
Patty swivels her head and says,"However..." Violet turns to her and says,"Yes?"

Charlie Brown and Shermy are pushing/pulling a wagon filled with papers down the lane. The former says,"This is going to be a great paper sale!"
He continues,"We'll cover the whole city! We'll knock on every door! We'll collect tons of paper!"
Shermy stops and pulls on one of the papers. He exclaims,"Say! Look at this!" Charlie Brown looks and exlaims,"Comic books!"
With other comics lying around them and the wagon behind them, the boys sit side by side on the curb reading comics.

Snoopy sits on the grass sleeping.
He starts as a black ball rolls by him.
He chases it.
As the ball hits the wooden croquet stake, Snoopy exclaims questioningly as he is caught in the croquet rungs.

Patty goes to sit on a rock by some trees in the field. She looks behind her and says,"This will be a perfect place to hide..."
As it gets darker and she remains sitting on the ground by the trees, she says,"Gee, it's getting dark..." "And cold too!"
She walks off down the lane, pass some houses, very angry.
Charlie Brown, in his pajamas, stands in his doorway looking at Patty, who stands on his doorstep gritting her teeth. He asks,"Were we playing 'hide an' go seek'?"

Schroeder, sitting behind the piano, looks over at Charlie Brown who is pulling on a big object. The latter says,"I got it, Schroeder!"
Schroeder jumps up in glee as Charlie Brown struggles with the wrapped box. The latter says,"But, boy, is it ever heavy..."
As he opens the box, he asks,"Where do you want it? On top of your piano?" Schroeder points to his left and nods his head.
He sits behind the piano, gazing at the huge bust of Beethoven that rest on the top. He sighs and exclaims,"Beethoven!!! sigh"
Trivia:
Schroeder gets his first Beethoven statue.

Charlie Brown stands nearby watching Violet lean over talking to a sitting Snoopy. She says,"Gee, you're cute, Snoopy...."
Snoopy looks up questioningly and Violet turns her head as Charlie Brown approaches them and exclaims,"Oh, I suppose you don't think I'm cute!!"
He grimaces as she turns to him and replies,"Why sure you're cute, too, Charlie Brown, but in a different way!"
Snoopy exclaims as Charlie Brown retorts, "Well, I should Hope so!!"

Charlie Brown turns his head and looks at Violet and Patty standing behind him. Patty puts her hands akimbo and exclaims,"We're going to have a party, Charlie Brown, but we're not going to invite you!!"
He walks off saying, "What do I care?! I don't want to go to your ol' party anyway!"
Patty sits on the curb and asks,"I wonder if he really meant that?" Violet replies,"I think he did!"
Patty turns to Violet as she sits next to her and says,"Well, in that case, maybe we'd better invite him!"
Trivia:
The first instance of the "We're having a party and you're not invited!" running gag.

Patty and Charlie Brown are playing croquet. Patty grimaces as Charlie Brown hits his ball with the mallet and kloks her ball.
He puts his foot on his ball and goes to swing at her ball. She clears her throat.
He looks up and panics as she grits her teeth and gives him a dark look.
She smiles as he moves his ball away from hers to hit it.

Patty sits on a stool next to the table talking on the phone. She says,"We'd like to have you come for dinner tonight, Charlie Brown..."
She stands, leaning on the table, with one leg crossed over the other and says,"Come early, and bring a big appetite!"
She opens the door to see Snoopy and Charlie Brown standing there. The latter says,"I came early, and brought Snoopy..."
Patty looks back at them as Snoopy licks his lips and Charlie Brown concludes,"He's got the biggest appetite of anyone I know!"

Schroeder sits at his piano crying.
He continues to cry as Charlie Brown and Patty stand watching him. Charlie Brown explains, "Poor Schroeder...he had to cancel his concert" She asks,"He did? Why?"
As they walk out of the room, he replies,"The concert was supposed to begin at eight-thirty..."
He stops, spreads his hands, and concludes,"His bedtime is six!"

Charlie Brown and Patty are walking down the lane in their winter coats. He says,"Everybody's buying televsion sets these days"
She asks,"Everybody?"
They stop by the gate and look over at Snoopy's doghouse, which has a television antenna attached to the roof.
They walk off and as she looks back at the doghouse, he concludes,"Uh Huh...everybody!"

Snoopy's ears shoot up when Charlie Brown says to Patty as they walk down the lane,"That Snoopy is a very smart dog!"
They stop and Patty says,"I'll say he is..." Snoopy smiles.
He brightens even more as Patty continues,"Why, I don't believe there's a smarter dog alive!"
He exclaims and grimaces as they walk off and Charlie Brown concludes,"Yes, sir, sometimes you'd think he's almost human!"

Charlie Brown sits behind Patty during a test. Charlie Brown leans forward and asks Patty, "What's the answer to the first question?". Patty responds "True".
Charlie Brown further asks "What's the answer to the second question?" and Patty responds "False".
Charlie Brown says "I'll bet you think I'm pretty stupidβ¦" and Patty replies "True".
Charlie Brown continues "But you'll give me all the answers, won't you?" and Patty scowls while responding with "False!!"

She sits in the chair and watches as he rummages through a drawer. He continues,"All you have to do is complete the sentence in fifty words or less"
He stands in front of her with a pen and a piece of paper. He says,"Of course, with me it's going to have to be 'less'..."
As they sit across from each other at the table, he starts to write and concludes,"I don't know fifty words!"

As Charlie Brown runs up to kick the ball, she let's it go saying,"I can't go through with it!"
As she kneels nearby, he kicks the unbalanced ball and in surprise, falls down.
Violet stands over a dazed and pained Charlie Brown asking,"You didn't kick the ball, Charlie Brown...why didn't you kick it?"

He picks up his fork and replies,"Why should I? I'm not going to touch anything....I'll be using a fork!"
She points to the table and says,"What about bread? You'll have to use your hands to eat that!"
He stands on a stool washing his hands over the sink in the bathroom. He exclaims,"Rats!! Bread isn't worth it!"

He smiles and starts plinking his piano as Patty arrives. She says,"Playing your toy piano, eh, Schroeder? That's a nice boy..." "I'll leave so as not to bother you"
