As posted previously in https://discuss.online/post/30852572, this community is moving over to discuss.online. The plan is to crosspost daily posts for a while and then lock this community and stop crossposting. The plan might change if anyone has strong opinions, but so far that hasn't seemed to be the case.

Charlie Brown and Patty sit amidst their building blocks. She asks,"Why don't you stay for supper, Charlie Brown?"

He stands and asks,"What are you having?" She starts packing up her toys and replies,"I think it's going to be pork chops"

She stands and looks at him puzzled as he stands next to the table talking on the phone. He asks,"Hello, mom? What were we going to have for supper tonight? Stew?"

She frowns as he says,"I'll stay!"

She continues,"After all, he's a pretty good guy" Violet slouches on the steps and replies,"Sure, he is"

Patty continues,"Good ol' Charlie Brown..." Violet is sitting back up and smiling.

Patty swivels her head and says,"However..." Violet turns to her and says,"Yes?"

Charlie Brown and Shermy are pushing/pulling a wagon filled with papers down the lane. The former says,"This is going to be a great paper sale!"

He continues,"We'll cover the whole city! We'll knock on every door! We'll collect tons of paper!"

Shermy stops and pulls on one of the papers. He exclaims,"Say! Look at this!" Charlie Brown looks and exlaims,"Comic books!"

With other comics lying around them and the wagon behind them, the boys sit side by side on the curb reading comics.

He starts as a black ball rolls by him.

As the ball hits the wooden croquet stake, Snoopy exclaims questioningly as he is caught in the croquet rungs.

Patty goes to sit on a rock by some trees in the field. She looks behind her and says,"This will be a perfect place to hide..."

As it gets darker and she remains sitting on the ground by the trees, she says,"Gee, it's getting dark..." "And cold too!"

She walks off down the lane, pass some houses, very angry.

Charlie Brown, in his pajamas, stands in his doorway looking at Patty, who stands on his doorstep gritting her teeth. He asks,"Were we playing 'hide an' go seek'?"

Schroeder, sitting behind the piano, looks over at Charlie Brown who is pulling on a big object. The latter says,"I got it, Schroeder!"

Schroeder jumps up in glee as Charlie Brown struggles with the wrapped box. The latter says,"But, boy, is it ever heavy..."

As he opens the box, he asks,"Where do you want it? On top of your piano?" Schroeder points to his left and nods his head.

He sits behind the piano, gazing at the huge bust of Beethoven that rest on the top. He sighs and exclaims,"Beethoven!!! sigh"

Trivia:

Schroeder gets his first Beethoven statue.

Charlie Brown stands nearby watching Violet lean over talking to a sitting Snoopy. She says,"Gee, you're cute, Snoopy...."

Snoopy looks up questioningly and Violet turns her head as Charlie Brown approaches them and exclaims,"Oh, I suppose you don't think I'm cute!!"

He grimaces as she turns to him and replies,"Why sure you're cute, too, Charlie Brown, but in a different way!"

Snoopy exclaims as Charlie Brown retorts, "Well, I should Hope so!!"

Patty sits on the curb and asks,"I wonder if he really meant that?" Violet replies,"I think he did!"

Patty turns to Violet as she sits next to her and says,"Well, in that case, maybe we'd better invite him!"

I'm thinking about moving this community over to my current instance, discuss.online, due to syncing issues with the account I post from (this one). I end up having to jiggle the posts by repeatedly upvoting/downvoting them until they "catch" and start syncing properly. If I don't do that they just float off into the Fediverse aether.

I'm likely to do this with !smbc@midwest.social and !oglaf@midwest.social (the other two communities I post daily comics to on the same instance) if I go through with moving this community and it works well. If anyone has opinions on that, let me know in the comments.

As Charlie Brown runs up to kick the ball, she let's it go saying,"I can't go through with it!"

As she kneels nearby, he kicks the unbalanced ball and in surprise, falls down.

Violet stands over a dazed and pained Charlie Brown asking,"You didn't kick the ball, Charlie Brown...why didn't you kick it?"
