Person Shot: 327 Peters Street SW

Preliminary Statement: On August 3rd, 2025, at approximately 12:55AM, officers responded to Grady Memorial Hospital at 80 Jesse Hill Junior Drive SE in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old male who sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his left arm. The male was alert, conscious, breathing, and was being attended to by medical personnel. The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident initially occurred in the area of 327 Peters Street SW before the male fled on foot to 296 Northside Drive SW for help and was subsequently self-transported to the hospital for treatment. Investigators with the Major Crimes Response Team responded to the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
