Welcome fellow prototypers! This communities' purpose is to help others and share functional 3D Printing related information. While other 3D Printing Communities are a good resource, sometimes too many help posts get buried under memes and fluff. This will remain technically focused and keep the fluff removed. Please help your fellow 3D Printer hobbyists as much as you can with their issues! and showcase your functional prints and how you use or created them.

This Nemesis organizer is designed for ease of setup and packing away. Top layer trays go to the table. Cards stay sorted in the organizers. Everything packs away into the original box. This incredible convenience comes at a cost. 1.4kg of PLA and 40 hours of printing on a Bambu @ 0.20 layer thickness. No support required.

V1. - 08/23/2023 - Rails to print that allow you to fit a Harbor Freight Storage Parts Case into an Ikea Trofast. 2 different size rails, one for left and one for right. I used ½" pan head screws to screw into the side. Just start stacking them from the bottom. Printed at standard settings on a Bambu X1C. Included Fusion 360 files. The design is parametric and you can tweak it to your own liking.

A converter that allows attachment of a 100mm hose to standard in wall extractor fan (160mmx1600m). I use this to allow me to extract heat/fumes from my 3d printer enclosure using my workshops built in extractor fan.

My kids are both pretty young, but 3D printed odds and ends keep making their way into their toy collection as they inevitably break things. They're still pretty young, but they're very interested in the measure -> CAD -> print loop.

This is a Holder for a Fairphone 4. I designed it to replace a holder I already had in my car that was too small for the fairphone, so there were parts, that I already had installed and reused. (Ball-joint and gooseneck) I included a stub balljoint with a throat od of 5mm that has a 2.5mm bore so you can screw a m3 bolt in there. The fit of the holder works great with my own bumper case, but I had a bigger one on there before and that still fit. The female part of the balljoint is fixed to the holder with 4 countersunk 10mm M3 screws. printing: If you want to use it in a car, use heat resistant filament with good layer adhesion. PETG might work, I used PCTG and it works great. Parts with threads @0.1 layer height, the rest@ 0.2mm. Annealed PLA might also work. Give it plenty of printing temp for better layer adhesion, especially the balljoint parts need it.

English The 3D4U Borehole Cleaning Aid ensures that your hands are free when working with a drill. Mounted on the hand-piece, this accessory automatically secures itself to the wall. For this purpose, the base plate was optimized for the airflow by computer simulation. The nine openings draw in the dust that accumulates around the borehole when drilling particularly effectively. The result: less stress during drilling, a clean floor and more safety when working on ladders. Tip: Sensitive walls can be taped in advance to avoid residue on the wall after drilling.

I added a hole to be able to release the clip after it clicked. No other changes to it. The original part: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2594163 The idea for the hole: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5364218

Parts designed to use multiple lengths of 1/2 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe for greater strength and rigidity. . Also may be used with wooden dowels (of appropriate size) if the use of PVC offends your sensibilities.

Was gifted some old lights that were designed to be stuck into holes in wood. Didn’t want to drill holes that big into my kitchen cabinets, so I designed and printed these holders that can be screwed to the cabinets and hold the lights. Also the lights are surrounded by it, so they don’t glare. Here are the results:

Combined it with two smart plugs, one that’s connected directly to the lights and one that sits in the socket right under the light switch. The one under the light switch is configured with a „scene“, that means if I press the little button on it, the plug connected to the lights will turn on, allowing me to use it as physical remote switch, while still being able to use the socket.

I wanted to mount my Dremel to a bench, but the original model by Faklam had a ring the Dremel didn't fit though (I later realised that the top can be screwed off). So I cleaned up the model, made the ring bigger, and ended up almost remodelling the whole thing. Unlike the original, the head of the tool is pressed against the small ring rather than going through it, which should be stable enough for most applications. For printing, I used supports for only the most horizontal parts of the rings. In this case I used a 0.6 mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.36 mm, as this model doesn't require much detail :)

This design has been updated with AUX port. You can find this new design at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5767765 My PC has USB 3.0 ports only from its back (yes, it is already getting mature). I wanted to bring some of these to my desk to avoid having to 'deep dive' every time I need to connect something reasonably fast way. I have bought this cable and designed under-desk holder for it: PremiumCord USB 3.0 Super-speed 5Gbps A-Ahttps://www.alza.cz/premiumcord-prodluzovaci-kabel-usb-3-0-super-speed-5gbps-a-a-mf-9pin-2m-bila-d6696333.htm I think the design might work for some other brands as well as it is quite common shape for this type of wire. You should use 2 pcs. of 3mm screws to fix it to the table - whichever length works for you, I have used 16mm. Easy to print, but you need to position the objects properly to the printing bed. Consult the picture for object orientation on the bed. I have used 0.6mm nozzle, orange PETG filament, 55% infill and supports. Happy printing :o]

Small latch for cabinet, little door, to attach something to other thing. Works well also as printer test. Gap between parts is 0.2 mm. Can be printed fully working on place without supports as shown on video. If you have problems with movement most likely problem is stringing. https://youtu.be/MCwRCMNyMc4

This adaptor is to connect 1 1/4in hose to 1 1/4in hose. I've used 2x R-20 o-rings and it seems to seal well or you can use Intex 1.25in Dia Hose Seal.

Similar to a previous design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6088152), but much better ventilated. I'd been wanting to use a Voronoi pattern in a project and discovered an online resource for converting 3d models into printable "Vorinated" bodies (https://www.voronator.com/). The site has its limitations, but it's free and easy to use. The alternative is to use a Voronoi plug-in in your design software which will give you a lot more control. I printed this vertically without a raft or supports. It's a good idea to bury the model into the build plate a little bit (say 1mm) so you have a decent base layer to start from. This will string a little so maybe turn down your hot end temperature or up your retraction. I did neither and it turned out fine.

Updated20230727 Someone send me feedback that the snap place is too tight and hard to separate, so I modified all 4 models, you can try the new one. Updated: Someone said the angle of the hanger is not good, it might form a bad shade of the clothes, so modified the angle, you can download the"Foldable Hanger_angle" and"Foldable Hanger_tight_angle" files to replace the old one. It's a Foldable Hanger that can be printed all at once and with no support. Specially designed for travel, very compact and reliable. There are 2 versions, the tight one for high-precision printers and a normal one for others. watch the video for more information: https://youtu.be/QII3ODl7uRc Click"like" for me if you really like it, it will encourage me to design more new things. See my other designs at: https://www.thingiverse.com/wuguigui/designs Thank you!
