Hi,

I've seen a couple of threads on this but none with a clear solution on how to sort this out.

I'm using an android TV box running android 12. I'm trying to use an ethernet connection, but when turn the VPN on, the ethernet connection doesn't work. It will default to using WiFi but if I've disabled it, Mullvad just says "blocked connection".

So far, I've tried:

• Alternate servers
• Power saving settings on the box which could be restricting something
• Changing WireGuard Obfuscation to "On (UDP-over-TCP)", which was suggested by support

None of these have worked, unfortunately. If anyone has any tips for this I'd appreciate it.

I've successfully set up a couple of client connections in Openwrt with their own interface, fw zone, keys, etc. Working great with pbr.

My q is do the provided 10.x.x.x wireguard IPs eventually expire and I have to request new ones via the curl setup again. Are they permanently assigned to my mullvad account number somehow. Thx!

Hey all :)

I've been reallllly struggling with this install for my Arch distro, I've been through every wiki post and reddit one I could find for this. Anyhow! I've been trying my best to install the AUR package for Mullvad.

I've so far git cloned the package, added keys and I'm now stuck with having issues with makepg -si

The output I get is this when it gets to about 8%

error: 1182 bytes of body are still expected

fetch-pack: unexpected disconnect while reading sideband packet

fatal: early EOF

fatal: fetch-pack: invalid index-pack output

I've tried editing my .gitconfig file to include:

[core]

packedGitLimit = 512m

packedGitWindowSize = 512m

[pack]

deltaCacheSize = 2047m

packSizeLimit = 2047m

windowMemory = 2047m

I've also tried both 0-9 for this one too

git config --global core.compression 0

Any assistance in getting this installed would be very helpful :D

Hello,

When i use MullvadVPN, i can't access any sites (DNS not working, expect for duckduckgo website and mullvad website ) when using Firefox or Mullvad browser (with custom DOH disable on browser level). The only browsers working are Safari and Brave.

In Terminal, i can ping and nslookup any website and get a response.

Do you have an idea what is the issue here ?

The help page says to open vpn settings and select tunnel-protocol. But the app doesn't have Tunnel-protocol as a selection.

So then I notice where you select servers, some are '-ovpn' and some are '-wg', so I select a server with '-wg'.

It just spins and doesn't connect. Tried this with several servers, same result, I can't connect to wireguard servers.

Any help?

Thought I'd test Mullvad for a month. Speed tests just done on my 1000Mbps connection.

No VPN: 943.38Mbps.

Mullvad local server: 346.99Mbps

Is this a known issue with such a drastic difference?

So i setup my vpn using openvpn with city A as the .ovpn file, but for some reason my actual external ip address appears as city B which is nowhere near city A although it is in the same country. What could cause this? Is this normal? I also did not see city B’s ip address on mullvad’s server list. This was not an issue when initially setting up the connection

I realize there are multiple posts about this and several helpful videos, archives, etc. However, none explicitly answer my questions.

With NordVPN, I was able to configure qBittorrent to connect to a SOCKS5 host within the app settings, using my NordAccount key and password. This ensured that only my bittorrent traffic and peer connectivity went through the VPN. However, with Mullvad, I'm seeing that I need to download an app, and my understanding is that this will make all my traffic utilize the VPN. Is there a way around this so that only my bittorrent application uses the VPN connection?

Hello everyone,

I've been a user of MullvadVPN for less than 2 weeks now and I must say I'm enjoying it so far (the Mullvad Browser is quite nice too btw). This being said, I've encountered one issue that have been bothering me a bit. I'd like to find a way to avoid being forced to select the apps I want rooted out of the Mullvad tunnel every time. I'd like to specify that one of the apps is the Tor Browser, which may bring some complexity into the task.

I've been looking around for fixes (amongst them was a .sh script), but I'm quite the newbie when it comes to those things so I preferred to come directly there.

note: i'm a Ubuntu 24.04 user.

The TestFlight beta release of our iOS app, 2024.4 (1), has a bug that can lead to traffic leaks when connecting if you have quantum-resistant tunnels enabled (disabled by default).

We are very happy for all the users who use our betas and help us test out apps before we release them to the general public, thank you! However, it is not completely without risk to run these pre-release apps. By definition they are less tested than our stable public releases, and sometimes bugs are present in these versions.

On the 4th of June, we identified an issue with the latest TestFlight version 2024.4 (1). If you have opted in to TestFlight versions of our app, and have enabled quantum-resistant tunnels in the VPN settings, then traffic from all apps on your device can leak for a short period while the VPN tunnel is being established.

The stable version of the app that is available on the app store is not affected by this leak.

Solution

We're in the process of releasing a new beta version, TestFlight 2024.4 (2), where this bug is fixed, update as soon as you can.

You are also safe against this leak if you do not use quantum-resistant tunnels in version 2024.4 (1). We will make sure that quantum-resistant tunnels are safe to use when it is released as stable.

I’ve just made an account and topped it up with 1 month on my iPad, im traveling today so later I’ll be at the hotel. What will I need to do to use my vpn on my laptop later?

also because I left it last minute I’ll have to install it on the public wifi without the vpn 🙈 guess I could do it on mobile data if I had to.

My choice of payment up to now has been cash by envelope, but it's been almost a week now and my Mullvad account still shows that it's "Out of Time". 😔

This leads me to the conclusion that the letter somehow got "lost". I am now trying to find an alternative payment option that is on par privacy wise with paying by cash.

I don't want to get into crypto and buying a Mullvad voucher over Amazon would link my personality to the service. I know that my actual internet connection would still be anonymous, but I rather not use Amazon for a service focused on privacy as it just feels off.

What are my remaining options guys? Do you think that envelopes get stolen or should I just be a little bit more patient and everything will be fine?
