So on Mac, you bind the VPN by checking in terminal if Mullvad is using utunx and setting qbittorrent network interface to utun0 or utun1 or whatever number is at the end of the one that Mullvad is using. I don’t understand exactly what this means, but it is not to difficult to do.

The problem is, sometimes Mullvad will switch to using another of the utun alternatives, and my torrents will all stall until I check what it is using now and change the bind to that interface. I guess this is good in a sense because I know it is working and that traffic is locked to that specific utun (whatever it is). I think this happens only after a full system restart.

Should I have to change this everytime it changes? Is there any risk it will start transfering data on an incorrect utun because Mullvad changed which one it uses, or will it just not upload at all? (So far it has not done any transfer when Mullvad changes so it seems fine, but I want to know if it could happen)

Hi - I'm looking for help setting up my Chrome OS Flex PC to use Mullvad DNS. The web instructions for the Chrome browser do not seem to apply here. For reference, below is how I have to configure to connect to Cloudflare's DNS. Thanks!

So I think at this point everyone is aware that Monero has been systematically made harder and harder to acquire. Binance, LocalMonero, Kraken took it down in some countries. More people will be pushed to cash payments. I myself am considering; if even to conserve precious monero for other payments that don't accept cash payments.

So I was reading about a cash payment to Mullvad being lost in mail. Then I went to the page with details on how to pay with cash. Here's what I am concerned with: the address starts with in big capital letters "Mullvad VPN AB". I'm guessing 99% of all mail sent to Mullvad is probably cash payments. And if I'm a postal employee I can probably put two and two together and all it takes is a temporary weakness in ethics for some mail suddenly become "lost".

Hopefully I was able to communicate the problem.

Is there any way address could maybe not have Mullvad's name in it? I feel like that would lower the number of lost mails. Or is it a legal requirement? Is there some form of a PO box that doesn't require company's name in address to receive mail? If it's a legal requirement that's understandable, I just don't know laws regarding that in particular country where MV operates.

Why are my speeds so much slower on mobile, even on the same wifi? The only reason I could see is maybe the wifi chip? But I could be wrong

Not so long ago the only services really weeding out VPNs were top tier streaming services e.g netflix, and the response was always that Mullvad isn't trying to be a streaming VPN. But even so you could often switch to a different location and find one that works.

Now though, I don't know of any legal streaming service that isn't unusable with Mullvad entirely. But more than that, there's an ever increasing number of websites which try to nix VPNs. Imgur being an obvious one, and now reddit as well occasionally annoyingly blocks log-ins by claiming "incorrect username / password" when trying to log in with mullvad (if it hasn't happened to you yet.. it may well soon).

So now Mullvad's complete non-engagement with the VPN obstructing arms race isn't just a little streaming inconvenience, I'm finding that I'm having to use another VPN or none for big chunks of my internet usage, and given the trend I can only imagine this is going to get worse.

Does anyone know if Mullvad will improve on this in the foreseeable future? And if not if there is there an actually decent Mullvad equivalent which does? I love how easy, affordable lightweight and secure Mullvad is, but none of that really matters if it impedes internet usage.

I'm seemingly unable to connect to a HTTPS proxy using FoxyProxy on Mullvad Browser. Does Mullvad Browser not support third party proxies?

All my browsers except Firefox stopped working. Turn the VPN off, all worked.

I cleared the cache in both Chrome and Brave and it eventually started working (hours), yet, Firefox never skipped a beat.

Anyone have a good technical reason why this would happen? I’ll be happy to respond to any information needed to answer. If anything, I want to learn more vs placing blame. Thanks.

This mullvad-daemon is taking up all my bandwidth for some reason, I dont know what is it doing but every couple of days I have to force close the process.

We have previously highlighted the importance of not losing your account number, encouraging it to be written down in a password manager or similar safe location.

For the sake of convenience account numbers have been visible when users logged into our website. This had led to there being potential concerns where a malicious observer could:

• Use up all of a user's connections
• Delete a user's devices

From the 3rd June 2024 you will no longer be able to see your account number after logging into our website.

I was using mullvad dns, but I wanted to block everything except social media. So I found the github (this)

It had a list of IPs to be used for custom dns entries. But there's no mention of what should the DNS over HTTPS be put as , atleast in Windows 11. Any idea as to what it should be? Or should i keep DNS over HTTPS off while using the custom one? Please help me if possible. Have a nice day!

lets assume that i use mullvlad for torrenting and i forgot to extend my subscription. The bittorrent program runs on a VM and the network interface is set to the gluetun interface. Obviously the safest method is to just stop the VM and resume it once the subscription has been renewed, but what if i forget about it in a couple of years and the VM runs without a subscription?

Android Auto seems to not work with VPN. But after adding Android Auto to the excluded apps via split tunnel, it does. Except this doesnt persist and I have to add Android Auto to the excluded apps each time I connect to my car. Does anyone else have this problem or any ideas on how to fix it?

Hello, I updated mullvad vpn on the app store on my ipad to version 2024.3 and since then, the vpn has stopped working. Whenever I connect to any server, my iPad loses connection to Wi-Fi. Is anybody else facing this issue?

Seriously, what's up with Reddit? It's bad enough that they've started blocking VPN servers but to then claim you can still login, when you can't, is driving me insane. It doesn't even give you an error message, you're just stuck in an endless loop entering your 2FA code.

I already wrote a complaint to Reddit. No response. Screw Reddit, seriously.

Been using the same method (Apple Pay) and cards for over a year. Now, I get "Verification required", click Continue and then spinner spins indefinitely. Removing both cards, rebooting everything and re-adding did not work. I can pay anywhere without any issues except in Mullvad. Any more tips?

EDIT: I see I can use different methods via Mullvad website. Anyone else with Apple Pay issues though? It used to work.

Hey All,

Hoping I can get some help/clarity on something.

• I am running mullvad on windows
• I have a bunch of docker containers
• I have split tunnel setup for docker, and it works
• All my containers with TCP port binds I have zero issue
• Container with UDP port binding has issues, I cannot connect to it
• Turn off Mullvad, UDP port works, I can connect to container
• Turn Mullvad back on, UDP does not work (TCP all still working the entire time)

It is 100% something to do with Mullvad. The split tunnel works 100% of the time for TCP and 0% of the time for UDP. I am guessing it has to do with the way Wireguard works?

I am not sure. Hoping someone has some ideas.

Even though I’m connected with Mullvad on my iPhone iOS app.

Whenever I search on Google, for example “Taco Bell Near me” or any other place.

It exposes my real location with Mullvad.

It’s not connected to any tunneling settings.

It seems occasionally, and more often than not recently, DNS lookup times whilst connected to Mullvad are 12.0 seconds, repeatably. If I hop around a few servers I can usually find one that doesn't have that, but it'll eventually come back.

Anyone else experiencing this? If you don't know what I mean, pages take 12 seconds or so to load.

I am trying to use the mullvad app for Firefox, I get a notification saying to use a wire guard

and when I follow the instructions on the site of 'click on gear icon and then on VPN Settings, then 'tunnel protocol'

I have no VPN settings or tunnel protocol. What am I doing wrong?
