I updated to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and I reinstalled, or tried to, the VPN but it's no longer working. It seems that Mullvad hasn't updated on their end. Has anyone got it working on Ubuntu 24.04? Or does anyone know when Mullvad will update it so it'll work?

Hey, I recently signed up for this VPN provider and installed it on my laptop.

For some reason it doesn’t allow me to connect to the internet. I also have the app on my IPhone and it works just fine.

What can I do to fix this?

Hi, I was using Mullvad for a while and I have, very annoying issue that started to occur more frequently.

Once every few hours, when connected to Mullvad, I got info from browser that DNS not found when accessing various websites. The only fix is to go to Mullvad app and reconnect to another server, then for few hours nothing happens and then suddenly it happens again (sometimes I can load one page and after 10 s when opening up sth else - it can be even on same website - it shows me that message).

Tried manual DNS config set to 8.8.8.8 to test out if that helps, tbh it made it worse :).

I'm open to any ideas how to solve that issue.

I'm trying to create a new US Tiktok account using email.

When I go to get them to send me a code, I keep getting 'Sorry, something went wrong, try again later'

I've tried in both Windows 11 and Linux and the same error.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Frustrated :)

I use Mullvad VPN and Firefox and seem to be blocked by Google any time I try to access it. It gives me challenge screen after challenge screen after challenge screen and often it takes me more 15 attempts to get it write. Split tunneling is not a solution every time. I am in the US and looking for some ideas

I've been using mullvad for years. But now it is pretty much unusable. I have to spend hours doing captcha, and it just doesn't work well.

Sure, the affiliate program for the vpn industry is often a corrupt mess. But that doesn't mean VPNs can't do it ethically.

Affiliates in the tech space already have followers who are into privacy and VPNs. They're preaching to the choir, which can mean more sales.

Billboards? They hit everyone and anyone, most of whom probably ignore them. Not only that, but a true affiliate program only pays out to people who get Mullvad sales, whereas a billboard is a flat expensive rate that does not guarantee sales, and I'd imagine its very hard to track the impact.

I'm sure you've all seen the billboards lately.

Wondering your thoughts. Hopefully this doesn't become toxic, just wanted a genuine discussion.

I believe it is not possible to generate a WireGuard config by giving only a public key, which should be possible from a technical standpoint. All creation methods appear to involve Mullvad seeing the private key. This means Mullvad can, in practice, monitor your traffic in cleartext.

Since yesterday.. I. Am unable to have the VPN running when I am on mobile network. It only works on WiFi. I am. Unable to send report either. It says error. Anyone else having same issue? I am on Samsung Galaxy S21.

Hi guys,

I have a Ubuntu Server VPS. I connect through it via SSH and SSH keys.

I usually have a set of nftables rules that sets up upon server reboot, allowing me to maintain the SSH connection to the server while having Mullvad connected.

Unfortunately, I don't know what happened but it seems that upon server reboot, the script with the nftables rules were not set successfully and I after entering the command mullvad connect, the SSH connection was lost and now, I can't connect the the VPS anymore. It seems that it is stuck behind the VPN. The connection is an openvpn one.

• Is there a way to recover connection to the VPS or not ?
• I tried to reboot the VPS via my hosting provider web interface and while the reboot is successful, it seems that the VPN connection is still on and impossible to connect to it via SSH.
• Is there's a way to terminate all Mullvad connections related to my account from my Mullvad account page ? I tried to look for this but couldn't find anything except my account number and the current devices with their Wireguard keys.
• Fortunately, i have a cron job that runs everyday at 05:00am with the command mullvad disconnect so I should be able to regain access to the VPS at this time, but if I could get access before this time it would be great and also, for my knowledge, it would be great to get some insight about how to troubleshoot this issue.

Hi, I'm not sure is this the right place to ask so I apologize in advance. I keep seeing this in my router security page. It's for my phone. I'm not a Mullvad user and I've checked with Malwarebytes. Nothing shows up. Are there any other services/apps that might be causing this?

Hi. I'm just wondering if Mullvad browser fingerprint will stand out if I proxy it through the Tor network using a manual proxy configuration. Wondering if there's any pros to doing this if I can't afford a VPN, or if its just best for me to stick with using Mullvad Browser with the default network settings. I know that the Tor Browser is the best way to browse the web anonymously with the Tor network and its probably better to use Tor Browser than this configuration of Mullvad browser, but I don't know if this change enhances or reduces the protections that Mullvad browser comes with?

I'm new here and recently subscribed to Mullvad. I set it up on my Android phone, fire stick and my Windows PC but I was wondering if it was possible to setup and use it on Xbox as well?

Today I noticed a consistent load on my laptop, looking quickly at task manager noticed Mullvad VPN consuming a steady 15-20% of CPU.

It has never done this before, CPU usage was low enough to not be noticeable and a steady 15-20% is not since it boosts the CPU to its highest frequency and spins up the laptop fans.

I have installed nothing new, I checked Windows Update and there has been nothing since the 10th of April. I'm at a loss as to what has caused this sudden new behaviour.

Tried uninstalling Mullvad and reinstalling, same behaviour. Tried joining beta program and installed the beta, same behaviour.

Only slight difference I can make to the behaviour is to manually set the priority of Mullvad Daemon to low - this slightly calms things down but still seeing a steady 15% load.

Anyone else having a sudden issue or have any ideas what is going on?

Today, I did a test on ipleak(.)net to check if the Mullvad / Android kill switch was working properly. I have these two settings active: "Always-on VPN" and "Block connections without VPN". While I was doing the DNS leak test, I clicked "Disconnect" from the Mullvad notification, and the VPN was disconnected, and as a result the connection was blocked. But reactivating it immediately afterwards (again from the notification), the site: ipleak(.)net detected the DNS of my real ISP. How is it possible? I understand that it is not a Mullvad problem 100%, but an Android problem. But is something like this normal? If the connection was blocked, why was it able to detect my real dns server for a second? If you want, test it too, and tell me if the same thing happens to you.

In some other VPNs it’s possible to rank available servers by ping times or have the app choose the fastest connection. I’m not finding that in Mullvad.

Is there some way of exposing this functionality?
