Leaving aside the actual product or service that you get from interacting with nano-gpt, the website itself is something I've never quite experienced before on a computer. You enter the site, fill a wallet, use the service, and refund your difference when you're finished without any friction between any of the steps. There is no logging in, waiting, or worry associated with the process. This user experience is on par with Apple Pay. Maybe even better because it is not associated with any credit cards.

It's opened my eyes to how useful these "micro services" are. Pay-as-you-use vending-machine style websites built with Nano represent a user experience that has not been feasible before. The speed and ease of paying with Nano means the funds are transferred and settled before I set my phone down. Again this post is mostly unrelated to the actual service being offered by Nano-GPT, just that it is the first Nano product I've interacted with multiple times outside of a faucet or Playnano and it's exciting.

I found that it costs me around 5% in fees when using an exchange. Is there any better way you guys know of? I'm not a big fan of buying from people directly, because of the high risk involved.

I'd absolutely love to use, and boost the popularity of, this currency. The feeless and instant transactions from XNO to XNO are nothing short of amazing! But it'd just not be worth it when I lose around 5% every time I need to transfer from or to FIAT.

If you are like me, you like the occasional game of poker with friends. I’m talking about the suspense of chasing a royal flush, or a full house while you end up with the high card. I donated some ETH to a charity—which is cool that they accepted crypto at all—but I am writing this as I wait for the transaction to process.

The fee was minuscule, but this wait time? I’m sure it won’t take too long but after using nano with its virtually instant transaction times I’m feeling very spoiled. After using Nano, transaction times on a crypto feel “wrong” somehow. I mean the transaction times on other payment methods like PayPal or credit networks might not truly be instant but it at least feels that way to the end user. I simply don’t understand how crypto will ever become mainstream unless it has most of the attributes that Nano has today.

(PS: looks like it took about 3 minutes. Not awful but still worse than Nano!)

Given current high fees and people looking into alternatives, this is a great time to showcase Nano.

Two years ago, we did a giveaway on the cryptocurrency subreddit ().

Roughly 20,000 people replied and were all sent a little bit of Nano. Even now on Reddit I recognize usernames of people that got into Nano through that giveaway. We also got onto the frontpage of Reddit, and were #1 on hot for multiple hours. I don't remember the exact figures, but I believe the thread had 3-5 million views on it.

I propose we do such a giveaway again. It would cost us ~$150 to be allowed to do this post, with an additional minimum of $500 as the grand giveaway prize.

If we sent $0.05 to everyone who commented and again got 20k comments, that would cost $1000, for a total of ~$1650.

If nano is fast and feeless for layer 1 coin, why the adoption is slow and many people prefer high fee networks yet. For example for someone from developing country $15(or even $10) is very high for a normal transaction fee(I'm also from one of them, Iran). Also by considering that Nano isn't mined or minted, then there isn't new Nano everyday. Why many people don't use it as great that Nano is. What are reasons?
