She looks as he sits down and looks in his shoe. He says,"Gee, there was a real sharp rock in my shoe"

Patty stoops and he stands. They both look down at his shoes and she asks,"Did you get it out?"

They start walking again and he concludes,"Not only that, I replaced it with a smooth one!"

They stop and Shermy asks,"By the way, did you ever find out whose birthday it was?"

Charlie Brown stands licking his lips as he eats his ice-cream cone. He says,"Let's see now...first I'll eat the chocolate one and then the vanilla one..."

He looks off to his right and says, "Oh, Oh!"

He puts the cone behind his back and starts whistling as Patty walks by.

He watches her walk away to his left as Snoopy walks up behind him to his right and eats the cone behind his back. He concludes,"whew That was a close call..."

Violet sits on the floor playing with her doll. He walks up to her and asks,"Why don't you make mud pies for me any more?"

He sits next to her as she replies,"You wouldn't like the taste of them now, Charlie Brown...our family has moved into a new house..."

She concludes,"Where we live now the earth isn't rich enough!"

She hugs Snoopy and concludes,"You're so cute I could just hug you to pieces!" He continues,"I can't stand this..."

Snoopy sticks his tongue out at him as Shermy snaps,"This is not a doghouse....this is a birdhouse!"
