He walks off slowly as the voice continues,"C'mon, boy! Here, Snoopy! C'mon, boy!"
His ears shoot up as the voice calls,"It's suppertime!!"
He runs offf happily,

Patty is confused as Charlie Brown follows her and exclaims,"Ow! Ouch! Ow! Ow!"
She looks as he sits down and looks in his shoe. He says,"Gee, there was a real sharp rock in my shoe"
Patty stoops and he stands. They both look down at his shoes and she asks,"Did you get it out?"
They start walking again and he concludes,"Not only that, I replaced it with a smooth one!"

Charlie Brown lies on his bed and shouts,"All right, everybody!! Let's rise, an' shine!"
He walks along and continues,"Everybody up! Let's go!! It's a new day!"
He stands in the doorway and says,"O.K., mom! O.K., dad! Let's hit the deck! Rise, an' shine!"
He turns to the reader and concludes,"Boy, wouldn't you hate to have me around your house in the morning?"

Shermy stands on pavement below the step that Charlie Brown stands on putting on his coat. The latter asks,"Wasn't that a swell birthday party?"
They walk along and Shermy exclaims,"It sure was....I got into six fights!"
He smiles as Charlie Brown replies,"I tripped at least four girls!"
They stop and Shermy asks,"By the way, did you ever find out whose birthday it was?"

Charlie Brown stands licking his lips as he eats his ice-cream cone. He says,"Let's see now...first I'll eat the chocolate one and then the vanilla one..."
He looks off to his right and says, "Oh, Oh!"
He puts the cone behind his back and starts whistling as Patty walks by.
He watches her walk away to his left as Snoopy walks up behind him to his right and eats the cone behind his back. He concludes,"whew That was a close call..."

Charlie Brown exclaims as she points at Shermy and continues,"Do you know what you are? You're nothing but an ol' Charlie Brown!!"
Shermy stands up and replies, "Now hold on! That's going too far!!" Charlie Brown frowns and says,"Hmm!"
Charlie Brown concludes,"Boy, all this makes Me feel great!!"

Violet sits on the floor playing with her doll. He walks up to her and asks,"Why don't you make mud pies for me any more?"
He sits next to her as she replies,"You wouldn't like the taste of them now, Charlie Brown...our family has moved into a new house..."
She concludes,"Where we live now the earth isn't rich enough!"

She stoops in front of Snoopy and continues,"You're just about the cutest thing I've ever seen!" Charlie Brown exclaims,"What a sickening conversation!"
She hugs Snoopy and concludes,"You're so cute I could just hug you to pieces!" He continues,"I can't stand this..."

Charlie Brown gets a pained expression on his face and starts coughing and wheezing. He puts his hands to his throat and exclaims,"Boy, I swallowed that too fast!"
He sighs in relief and concludes,"Choke Gasp! Koff! I'll have to admit that was a hollow victory..."

Shermy stands and points at her; he says,"That's wrong...you mean, 'April showers may bring flowers'."
They look off to their left as she says,"Here comes Charlie Brown....he'll know how that saying goes"
Charlie Brown approaches wearing a raincoat. He smiles and says,"You're both wrong...it's 'April showers bring raincoats!'."

Charlie Brown walks up to Snoopy sitting on the ground and Shermy building a small animal-house. He points at the house and exclaims, "Snoopy won't be able to get into that doghouse! It's too small!!"
He continues as Snoopy frowns,"How could you make a mistake like that? What kind of a carpenter are you?"
Snoopy sticks his tongue out at him as Shermy snaps,"This is not a doghouse....this is a birdhouse!"
Charlie Brown blushes as they walk off and Snoopy laughs. He looks at the reader and says,"Oh...."
