Among the pictured comic book titles, Nancy β€” referring to the comic strip by Ernie Bushmiller β€” and Tip Top were real titles published by Peanuts’ own United Feature Syndicate, with both titles eventually including reprints of early Peanuts strips. The ending gag is recycled from the Li'l Folks strip from May 1, 1949.
