Come discuss pro wrestling! Any company or era is welcome.

Please ensure you have NSFW posts enabled or you may miss out on some threads. Bots are not used in this community.

Rules: (Click to expand)

1. Be Civil.

Users are expected to be civil and inclusive towards one another at all times. Remember the person on the other side of the screen. Hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and other inflammatory language is prohibited.

2. Keep content related to wrestling.

Any content posted should at least be related to pro wrestling somehow.

3. Spoilers.

Do not spoil events for people. If an event is going on, please keep discussion contained to the/a discussion thread for 24h after the event. Do not post spoilers in titles during this period. Use the spoiler function when you need to, it's there for a reason. Should your post involve a url to a spoiler (Twitter, YouTube video, etc) please mark the thread as NSFW as well so thumbnails are blurred or just link the content in the body of the post.

4. Vague/Editorialized Title.

Please keep the titles of any articles you post clear, understandable, and indicative of what the article states within. It's ok to alter the title if the original is clickbait and confusing, or contains a spoiler like a debut that just occurred that day, but do not add your own thoughts to it.

5. Sexualized Content/'Plot'.

Please do not post any pornographic, 'creep shot', or similar adult-related material to the community (regardless of connection to wrestling). Wrestling content that involves sexualized content (in storylines/matches/promos) is fine, as well as photo's wrestlers post to their own social medias. Butt-shots you take with your cell phone at a house show aren't.

6. Banned Source(s)/Websites.

Due not necessarily to the content of their reporting, but to their harassing and doxxing of users, the following news sources, journalists, and content creators are not permitted to be posted on SquaredCircle in any context - including direct links, articles, social media, and reports that cite only those sources:

  • WrestleVotes
  • RingSideNews
  • Brad Shepard
  • Billi Bhatti and "The Dirty Sheets"
  • Any post or article citing one of the above as a primary source.

Also due to technical issues, bigotry/extremism, and various other issues, we do not accept URL submissions from the following websites:

  • Twitter/X (Please use Nitter, xcancel, or submit a screenshot if you are unable to source a non Twitter/X url)

Any posts/comments may be removed at the discretion of the moderation team.

Leila Grey has revealed she sustained a torn ACL during her recent TBS Championship match against Mercedes Moné.

The injury occurred during the December 6 episode of AEW Collision.

During the broadcast, Grey appeared to hurt her knee after delivering a running knee strike in the corner. She finished the match, submitting to Moné’s Statement Maker.

Despite the severity of the injury, Grey participated in a WBFF Pro Fitness event this weekend, wearing a knee brace. She placed first in her category.

Grey announced the news on social media, stating that she will require surgery and will be out of action “for a while.”

FIRST PLACE BABY! 🥇

I just won, went Pro, and become the new WBFF Pro Fitness Diva!!….. with a freakin’ torn ACL!

For those that may not know, I tore my ACL last week in my match with Mercedes. I’ll be going into surgery and will be out of commission for a while. This couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Not only did it affect my championship match, a MAJOR opportunity for me, but it happened one week out from my debut WBFF show that I had invested so much of my life into the past year. People expected me to drop out, but honey,

There’s no quit in me. I’m a boss ass baddie, and I always get the job done. Strapped up, blinged out my knee brace and it was go time! The devil tried to take this away from me but God said nope! THIS IS FOR YOU!! Thank you to all of my amazing supporters. I love you all. This is just the beginning in my fitness career. Many more wins to come! ❤️

Thank you WBFF for allowing me to live out my dreams.

A native of Queens, New York, Grey began her wrestling career in 2020 on the Florida independent circuit. She made her AEW debut in March 2021 on an episode of AEW Dark and later gained prominence as a member of Jade Cargill’s “The Baddies” faction in 2022. Grey is also a three-time OVW Women’s Champion.

The night prior to her injury, Grey wrestled Zayda Steel on the Zero Hour pre-show for ROH Final Battle on December 5.

spoilerPrior to the AEW Collision taping in Cardiff, Tony Khan came out to get the fans hyped and ready for the show. For anyone who’s been to an AEW show before, this is typical. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary as Khan was previewing the Collision and ROH: Global Wars tapings, but then he made a huge announcement that took the fans by surprise.

Khan spoke, “Because I love Cardiff so much, I went to the great executives at Warner Brothers Discovery, the great company that powers the engine that makes AEW possible. I said to them: Please, it’s the holiday season, because there’s hardcore AEW fans in Cardiff, I want to bring back, for one night only, AEW Dark!”

“And you know what they said? They said yes!” Khan added. He confirmed some of the biggest stars in wrestling would be coming out for a one-night-only event as Dark returns for the holiday season.

AEW Dark has not aired since 2023. At one point, there was both Dark and Dark: Elevation. Now, the fans in Cardiff are in for a treat as Dark will return for the first time in well over two years. Khan didn’t confirm whether or not this taping will air, but at the bare minimum it will be on AEW’s YouTube Channel.

Update: It's possible its a AI mistranslation error. Dave is apparently using Grok to translate and Grok has apparently translating "Tanahashi" to "tenzen" for some reason, so possibly not correct.

WWE Network is still available in a few locations globally, like France and Germany.

Do we know if that is going to continue to be the case for the forseable future, or is there a schedule for some contract to end and they'll be moving to Netflix too?

Is it the same as the old WWE Network we had in North America, or is it some slimmed down version?

If its the good "The network" that we all loved, I would be willing to pay for a VPN to pretend I'm in Germany to get it. Originally we had to have a US VPN and pay for the network with PayPal and give WWE any random US street address from Canada. Does this still work for Germany (France, Italy, Jamaica, etc.)?

Thank you very much for your continued support of Tokyo Women's Pro Wrestling.

Moka Miyamoto has been out of action since July of this year due to an illness that requires treatment, but she has recently requested that she would like to put an end to her activities as a professional wrestler and move on to a new path, and after repeated discussions, she has decided to retire from professional wrestling.

Please note that due to the individual's wishes, a retirement ceremony will not be held.

We apologize for the sudden announcement and apologize for the inconvenience and concern to our fans, but we ask for your understanding.

We appreciate your continued support for Tokyo Women's Pro Wrestling.

Moka Miyamoto's comments are as follows.

====================

It's been a long time. This is Moka Miyamoto. I have decided to retire from my activities as a professional wrestler. During my absence, I slowly reflected on myself and began to think about my future, and decided to take a break in this way. It is thanks to everyone who has warmly watched over us that we have been able to continue this far. Thank you very much. The days I spent at Tokyo Women's Pro Wrestling and the many encounters I had were precious memories for me. I will be walking on a new path from now on, but I will never forget the support I have received thus far. Thank you very much so far.

A 6-woman tag match has been confirmed for the December 21 show.

All other matches will be 7-minute singles bouts, with the matchups decided by a lottery drawn by Marika Tani, who was in the same idol group as Yuki Arai.

The lottery event is scheduled to be streamed live next week.
