I just realized tonight that after having my CPAP for 5 years, the chronic shoulder pain I've lived with since I was a child is gone. My shoulder pain came from sleeping on my arms at night, to the point that they would lose circulation and feeling. Sometimes I even tore my shoulder trying to turn over when is lost feeling in my arms. I thought everyone must sleep like that and didn't realize I had sleep apnea and I was using my arms to help prop myself up. Now with my CPAP I can comfortably sleep on my back, and it has been years since I've had shoulder pain.

I highly recommend a CPAP for all around good health!

I dont know your circumstance, but just to say that if you haven't been on long it is hard, recovery takes months (at least) and benefits are not immediate... it kind of creeps up on you i found.
