If you bought an Ultra, why did you choose se it over the regular Apple Watch?

When I saw it announced last year, I thought to myself “no one is going to buy that”. I just thought there were too few features that most people don’t need. But now I see them everywhere. I don’t see the appeal of increased battery life being worth twice the price of the standard watch.

Why did you buy the Ultra and is it worth the price to you?

Prove me wrong I guess?

I had a 1st gen, 5th gen and now the Ultra 2. I absolutely love it for the flat screen and battery life. I'm not a fitness guy or some kind of adventurer, but I like knowing it's super rugged, and I can put it through hell if I need to.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is go to the Apple Store and put one on your wrist and see if you think it feels more "premium" enough to warrant the cost difference.

In my case, if I was at a different point in my life and didn't have the money, $799 for a watch would be irresponsible. I'd say if that sounds like A LOT of money, then probably don't go for the Ultra.

Edit: Also, compared to my gen 5, the CPU in this thing feels instant. Maybe that's also what a series 9 feels like, I don't know, but I remember thinking, FINALLY, this feels like what an Apple Watch always should have been. Moving around the OS is like butter.
