Hello, can you help me understand what did this bizarre phrase was supposed to mean? What was the context here?
They're saying that sex buying is capitalism, and that's good.
I never understood why people would rather have sex with someone under duress rather than having a mutually understanding loving relationship with someone they love. I also never understood hookups either but you can have consensual sex without commitment.
For those who accept capitalism and support the commodification of everything, there is no such thing as a mutually understanding loving relationship, unfortunately; every relationship must be transactional.
For some people it seems more socially acceptable to support prostitution than to admit that one has a problem with relationships. There are people who have mental issues, but these issues should be addressed instead of harassing others. You can satisfy your needs without it - dating, hookups, BDSM clubs, therapy for people who need it, anything is better than forcing others to sell their body.
I’ve always been supportive of publicly funded dating apps, it would open up a whole series of dating app maintainer jobs and that would be objectively the funniest
I unironically love the idea. It may help keep society healthier and happier.
I would 100% use a communist dating app while assuming I was not living in an extremely reactionary country where Marxism-Leninism is basically illegal.
