It's positive that not all from Mastodon are on board with it, and "Fediverse stakeholders" sounds too much like IPO talk.
A good chunk of the admins of the big servers either are techbros or work/worked for Google as their day jobs. This includes mine, who currently is an engineering manager at Google. He seemed a bit upset that we were all so pissed at Threads federation, but he did follow our suggestion and defederate from them.
Wow, if I was on Mastodon I'd have immediately jumped ship.
