I recently switched over from console gaming to PC gaming. My Gamerscore on Xbox was around 185,000 over more than a decade. Excited to pick up games on PC that I have never played before, and revisit old games that I haven't played in a long time!

If you're also looking to emulate, have a look at https://retroachievements.org/ - might be interesting for hunting some great old games

Thanks for the tip! I actually have an account on there setup last year when I got a Retroid Pocket, although I had some pretty spotty connectivity where achievements weren't unlocking. I don't know if it was the device or website but it's like it wouldn't realize the game was running every so often.

Heya, I'm from RetroAchievements. Sounds like it was the device, but we do have a manual unlock process for when things go awry. It may be worth reviewing that if you know your connection is prone to disruptions. In general we try to make sure it won't be an issue, most clients should retry the unlock request when Internet gets interrupted, but with some of these third party handhelds the clients they run can be... severely outdated.

Thanks for the tip! It wasn't a huge bummer for me. It was a bit annoying to have it set up to run and forget it, only to have it not work a few days later for whatever reason. It would just be spotty, so I never found a good pattern of what was causing it (same physical location and network connection were fine, device generally in sleep mode to be turned on again, etc.) I'll give it another shot when I get emulators setup on my PC.

Thank you, I've been wanting to make the switch for a while and finally saved up enough to pull the trigger.
