Reason 475 to stop using those apps. Even if your driver doesn't pick up multiple orders from the restaurant you ordered from, which was rare the last time I used them, they may still be doing multiple orders. Your food will be cold and smell weird.
It's basically why I don't order pizza anymore. Even if you directly order from the store they just partner out with a random app. Like no I don't want my pizza to arrive 2 hours later cold. Thanks though

I know people who have done this, sometimes places refuse for various reasons
Insurance is usually the reason—taxis have different insurance to private cars
But you aren't paying them to drive you so it's not a taxi. You're just hitchhiking
Still bad. It's a commercial vehicle and the driver doesn't have a license to transport people. At least in my country those would be serious issues when it comes to determine liability.
All my cities deliveries are on escooters (or whatever those very cool looking electric balancing unicycle things are), I am not sure I know the delivery dude well enough for that level of intimacy.
