Is it hard to get tickets to 70mm IMAX theaters? I have 2 real IMAX theaters near me but they are digital so I've never been to a 70mm screening. I get it if you want to watch it on the first day, but I assume getting tickets for subsequent days shouldn't be an issue, unless 70mm screenings have a limited run time.

There aren't that many IMAX 70mm theaters in the world (less than 100, I think, and there are only 30 in the US). Christopher Nolan is an extremely popular director known for utilizing IMAX 70mm, so his movies tend to sell out in this format a lot. As we get closer to the release date, I'm certain they'll add more showtimes, this marketing stunt is to prove the viability of creating and distributing IMAX 70mm prints.
With this news, The Odyssey is officially the highest-grossing film of 2026.
