Good morning/afternoon/evening all,

I'm here to rant and I'm going to do my best to keep this subjective and exclude any personal opinions as best as I can on this topic. Please take a second and read the journey of this one infusion and take it what you will. My purpose is to just let the community to be aware that this occurred since Anet has kept pretty silent about it.

7/28/2020 – Initial Release

• The northern part of Drizzlewood Coast map was opened, introducing the Frost Legion Infusion, obtainable via:
  • Magnificent Chest (Claw of Jormag)
    • Reward for completing the North meta event
    • Very rare drop chance
  • “The End of the Road” Achievement
    • Requires drinking 500 x Icebrood Corruption Tonics
    • Tonics are crafted with a Mystic Forge recipe
    • Estimated crafting cost: ~3931g (as of posting this, hyperlink is for current price)

3/11/2025 – Convergence CM (JW) Released

• Challenge Mode for Janthir Wild Convergence bosses (Greer, Decima, & Ura) went live.
  • Magnificent Convergence Extraction
    • Reward for completing (Weekly) Challenge Mode Convergences: Mount Balrior
    • Super rare drop chance

6/3/2025 – Kinfall Fractal Added

• The infusion was added as a rare drop upon completing the new Kinfall Fractal.

6/24/2025 – Kinfall CM Released

• Challenge Mode for Kinfall Fractal went live.

7/15/2025 – Vendor Bug Fixed

"Fixed an issue that prevented BLING-9009 from displaying any new items after completing challenge mode."

• The Scavenged Frost Legion Infusion was intended to be purchasable as of 6/24 (most likely) but was bugged/invisible and no one caught this mistake.

  • 5 × Fractal Journals
  • 50 × Integrated Fractal Matrices
  • 2000 × Unstable Fractal Essences
  • 250 × Globs of Ectoplasm

✅ Key issue: The infusion was not account-bound once opened, and there was no purchase limit.
