Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that

a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,

b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and

c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren't already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.

It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn't what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account. Alt here.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

The Country of the Week is still Palestine! Feel free to chime in with books, essays, longform articles, even stories and anecdotes or rants.

Here is the map of the Ukraine conflict, courtesy of Wikipedia.

The weekly update isn't coming because I'm sick and too focussed on the collapse of the Zionist entity.

The bulletins site is down.

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

SMOKESCREEN WAS JUST DEPLOYED ON THE GAZA BORDER

VISIBLE ON LIVESTREAM HERE:

https://youtu.be/ZYT_WcLo-zA

This is Israel side looking into Gaza side, lots of speculation on cause of smokescreen.

EDIT: Nothing happened. False alarm. Looks like 2 bomb strikes and one causes a fire with a lot of smoke. Sure looked like a huge smoke screen though and got a bunch of channels posting, it was a tonne of obscuring smoke.

Full Hezbollah statement is a bit better than the quote of it that was snipped out earlier.

🟡🟢 Hezbollah:

In the name of the Almighty.

Humanity bows its forehead at the horrific and brutal crime committed by the zionist murder and criminal gangs in the Al-Maamadani Hospital in Gaza, which claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent martyrs.

This massacre is a continuation of the massacres that preceded it, from the massacres since the establishment of this criminal, usurping entity in Deir Yassin, Houla, Sabra and Shatila all the way to the massacres of Qana and others over the years of the hateful occupation, revealing the true criminal face of this entity and its sponsor, the greatest Satan and criminal: the United States of America. The U.S. bears direct and full responsibility for this massacre and for all crimes committed by the zionist enemy.

Merely issuing statements of condemnation and denunciation are no longer sufficient. We call on the peoples of our Arab and Islamic nation to take immediate action in the streets and squares to express intense anger and put pressure on governments and states wherever they are.

International and regional organizations must take immediate action against the massacres and genocide of the oppressed Palestinian people and the implementation of forced displacement under the weight of massacres, terrorism, and murder. ‏

Let tomorrow, Wednesday, be a day of unprecedented anger against the enemy and its crimes and against Biden’s visit to the zionist entity to cover and protect this criminal entity.

Let the message be clear that this is a day that comes after it on the path of resistance, victory, and retaliation for the oppressed against the oppressor.

Indeed, Allah is capable of granting them victory.

Sergio Massa: 37% (Socdem Man)

Javier Milei: 27% (Ancap guy)

Patricia Bullrich: 24% (Neoliberal Woman)

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli military spokesman says Israel plans to increase strikes on Gaza starting Saturday.

Report: Biden Gives Netanyahu ‘Private Backing’ for Gaza Ground Invasion

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won President Biden’s “private backing” for a ground invasion of Gaza during talks in Israel on Wednesday, The Times of London reported.

The report said Biden told Netanyahu that he remained “fully in support” of Israel’s plans to launch a ground incursion to “eliminate Hamas” despite outrage over the bombing of the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City that Israel is blaming on an errant Palestinian Islamic Jihad rocket. The US is backing Israel’s side of the story, while Palestinian officials insist an Israeli airstrike hit the hospital.

According to a report from Axios on Wednesday’s talks between Biden and Netanyahu, the primary message Israeli officials expressed to President Biden was that the war in Gaza will take time and will test US support for Israel. Over 3,000 Palestinians have already been killed in Israel’s onslaught on Gaza that started on October 7, and any ground invasion will incur huge civilian casualties.

An Israeli ground invasion of Gaza appeared imminent toward the end of last week when Israel ordered the evacuation of northern Gaza, an area where 1.1 million people live. The Jerusalem Post reported that the incursion was delayed over concerns Hezbollah would open a second front in the north.

The US has deployed two aircraft carrier strike groups and other military assets to “deter” other actors from joining the war, and the White House has discussed the possibility of using military force against Hezbollah if it launches a significant attack on Israel.

The Axios report said that Biden expressed concern to Netanyahu that Hezbollah might join the war beyond the cross-border rocket strikes it has been exchanging with Israel in the north.

Footage was released from inside the Israeli war cabinet showing prime minister Netanyahu, Ex-MoD Benny Gantz, and MoD Gallant being briefed by an Israeli army officer about the plans for some sort of a ground operation.

Seen in the photo the Director of Mossad, sitting far and disinterested in this propaganda video.

The Rubicon has been crossed. There's only two paths forward: the Resistance can either stand down and completely destroy their credibility in the eyes of the world and remove whatever goodwill they had in their brilliantly executed military operation or the Resistance can escalate and openly wage a brutal regional war that ends with the complete destruction of the Zionist entity.

It's now or never.

If a ground invasion of Gaza is imminent, how likely do you think the IOF will resort to chemical warfare in order to flush out militants from their tunnels? I really don't see them having the courage to go to the tunnels themselves, and bombs can only do so much.

@SeventyTwoTrillion@hexbear.net can we add a section to the sticky that includes the UN RWA reports? It might be easier for people to find them and they're a pretty excellent resource of on the ground information that people can use even with liberals. Since they're releasing these daily right now due to how bad things are it's an easy thing to update.

[–] thirtymilliondeadfish@hexbear.net 44 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Mr Burgess reiterated that ASIO was anticipating "spontaneous violence" arising from Australian protests being held in response to the Israel-Gaza war, and urged all members of the community to avoid using "inflamed language".

"What ASIO worries about is not protest and counter-protest," he said.

"We look for those small number of individuals that have an ideology that thinks violence is the answer, or any individual that actually goes to violence in the promotion of their political cause or promoting communal violence.

"And when they do, that's an act of terrorism and we and the police will act swiftly."
