Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

As far as I'm concerned, RFK Jr. is just another crank that should be making his rants on a street corner with a sandwich board sign.

He probably says a lot of other dumb bullshit, too. I fail to see how this is even remotely considered news.

A presidential candidate spouting racism is important news that voters need to be aware of.

I just copied the guy who posted a million times. But you’re right

Where do they get this stuff?

[–] RocksForBrains@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

Nowhere. Facts and sources are optional for conservatives.

FYI from a non-American, if RFK ends up with the nomination and the next year or so is just him and Trump/DeSantis bickering on TV and then one of them becomes president, we might have to all just go off into space and leave you here.

Especially if you guys aren't even making good films or TV now with everyone on strike.

RFK is running as a Democrat while a acting like a Republican. He has zero chance.

Ah yes, the litmus test for stupidity.

Thinking thousands of independent researchers, from many different institutions, corporations, multinationals and peer review journals, in many different countries (who are friendemies and enemies with each other), who are all working in cahoots, without as much as a single legitimate whistleblower or any credible evidence that proves a massive, global coverup and the only ones who know about it are the ones who get paid for speaking engagement.

That's not just paranoia, that's not just stupidity, that is purely distilled narcecism, brined in stupidity and baked in paranoia.

A tinfoil duncehat for you, sir. You are a special somebody.

Not everything is newsworthy- after all, there are plenty of other conspiracy-theory-embracing bigots spewing racism at holiday dinners and they'll never be made famous

We now live in a place and time where publishing news that a conservative, dark-money-backed populist politician said racist things isn't going to hurt them politically. In fact, in some circles that's going to be seen as a signal of strength and if we don't learn our lessons from the rise of Trump we are going to get more where that came from, good and hard

He's running as a Democrat. If he splits off and runs as third party after losing the primary, Democrats need to know that he's a crazy antivaxx bigot so he won't get otherwise uninformed Democrats' votes and won't be a spoiler against Democrats. Plus, if he runs as third party and it's obvious that he's a crazy antivaxx bigot, he can be a spoiler against Republicans, since crazy antivaxx bigots are a vital constituency within the Republican Party.

Gotta trust a "news" organization that reports "in a booze and fart filled dinner." This isnt even journalism, how are mods allowing this, nypost? @outrageousmatter

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago

The mods have made it clear that misinformation is allowed because misinformation benefits republicans. This tabloid shit is allowed on purpose.

That said, this story is confirmed by at least two other sources that have been posted here.
