Not what I meant 😵
I'd never know that's English
Journey to the Savage Planet was Epic Games Store exclusive for 1 year
Who cares. They're obviously doing that because Steam takes 30% and they believe they can get more revenue from EGS.
EGS isn't as bad as you make it seem. It was the only viable strategy for EGS to implement themselves (this and free games). Breaking Steam's monopolistic position can only bring good.
If I really wanted to be upset, I'll be at playstation exclusives or Nintendo exclusives or similar.
Oh, I see, indeed, I didn't see it this way before you mentioned it. Nice analysis!
Eh, some manage to go around. Steam doesn't push this BS (but yea I guess they force you to pay an amount)
Proton mail also doesn't really go out of their way to check you... and Reddit is somewhat okay from what I remember
Nah, it's the aggressive tone and the GIANT anime picture "edgy" that cringes me a bit, + the "Karen" + the "your man cheats on you", as if us nerds don't cheat (which to be fair, might be a bit true, but there are a lot of exceptions)
I don't think it has cloud saving, easy wine/proton, API for achievements and shit... just overall unfit for "bigger games". It has similar functionality to GOG's offline downloads. I haven't really used it so can't say.
~~I probably won't try it if they also take a huge cut from sales like 30% or something~~ EDIT: They seem to let you choose whatever you want, and charge 10% by default (https://itch.io/docs/creators/payments#open-revenue-sharing). That's neat! However, payment method fees always apply. You can opt into them collecting the money through their account at seemingly no fee, and won't be exposed to chargebacks. That's incredible!
There's a certain threshold at which it becomes too cringe. Balancing it is the key.
Oh alright, thanks
I guess since I don't eat twix idk
Adding commas makes this tweet more cringe
