Oh the days of the qmd.

I just use a dumb hdtv with a laptop and wireless mouse. From there you have a lot of options

Let's face it Meta likes control. Control over your data, control over what you can and can't say and control over nsfw. I don't see meta truly wanting to federate due to lack of control. We all know how they feel about nsfw content and any speech that goes against thier ridiculous algorithms. I expect them to federate with as many instances as they can and cherry pick data. I doubt you'll see half of the fediverse when viewing from threads.

Teargas grenades: Tax dollars at work

The moderation was garbage so the reviews can get pretty nasty depending on the genre. Trolls often go to the site to review instead of amazon because they can get away with so much

My son is an author and in the community apparently goodreads is known as the place where hopes and dreams die

My problem isn't with lactose its with stuff labeled lactose free. These products still contain lactose they just add the lactase enzyme that lactose intolerant people have trouble creating. That added lactase often upsets lactose tolerate people's stomach. These products should be called lactase added not lactose free... Cannibis leads to internet rabbit holes.

I downloaded and used redact on the app store. Really easy right from my phone

I love so many zombie movies but my favorite will always be the one that popped my zombie cherry. Dawn of the dead 1978.

After debating for a few days and watching u/spez spiral even further out of reality. I nuked my account. All comments and posts edited to gibberish and then deleted followed by my account.

How to subscribe to magazines on a different instance.

Another user posted this in a thread with his blessing I am sharing it as it helps for people new to the fediverse

You go and browse the instance you want first. You don't have to create an account there, you can view everything, just can't post of comment without an account obviously.

Then, you look at the name of the community you want, in the form of /!something/ or it could be /@lemmy.world/ too.

You come back to kbin and type or paste that into the search bar without the exclamation mark but with an @ sign instead. so /!something/ sould be typed as /@something/ into kbin's search bar. The option to subscribe will appear in the search result.

You can use the same technique on mastodon to subscribe to kbin and lemmy accounts (and communities because technically they are accounts too). Just type or paste the /@something/ into the mastodon search bar.
