For a long time I hated ternaries, partially due to my experience with them in PHP (Who thought left-associative ternaries was a good idea? seriously?).

OpenSCAD made me love them again. It's purely functional so you're encouraged to use nested ternaries.

The fact that this isn't open source makes it feel like a grift. There's no way he will be able to develop a full suite comparable to adobe with that money.

As a photographer, I just bought a separate canon dye sub printer for 6x4s, I rarely print anything bigger so I just outsource it.

Your 2nd option is called digital c-type, although the machines for that usually use lasers.

Counterpoint: having the appearance of exclusivity is usually a good way to grow.

Gmail originally grew because you needed an invite, so seemed like anyone with one was in an "exclusive club", bluesky is using the same technique.
