This isn’t uniquely American. But Americans can create community

Okay but they do, though. Look up medics who supported the Selma march for an example of Americans doing something for each other

If you’re us based city folk, look up mutual aid groups in your area. They exist and can help, or connect you to help

It’s going to take a culture shift. People on the ground don’t feel like they can trust each other. Until we have a sense that our neighbors won’t let us go hungry, a general strike can’t be sustained.
