hey man, what's up, I've got some updates. I installed Fennec and used it for a bit, it actually seems pretty good, I'm really considering using it as my default, even though I'll miss Brave's speed, the nice UI, and the widget showing how many ads were blocked, but Fennec is lighter (storage-wise) and has everything I need, like, it's not "Oh my God, the best browser in the universe," but it does what it's supposed to, I'm happy with it.

my comment was totally a joke, anyway, I don't use tiktok to watch videos, just to talk to some friends that I can only get a hold of specifically through tiktok
I did that, I'll see if I notice any improvement, thanks for the suggestion (:
I really want to stop using Ente and start using Immich (overall, I want to self-host a lot of services with a server in my own home), but right now I'm not in a position to set up that server yet. Do you have any other alternatives to Ente that don't require self-hosting?
Tyy
I removed all the bloatware I found, but I can't uninstall the Play Store or my banking app will stop working.
I use SmartLauncher; it has an option to change all the app icons so they match the wallpaper.
none of the things you mentioned are the same Mullvad: VPN Brave: Browser K-9 mail: email client, I use it to access my gmail without using the gmail app Proton mail: the gmail app itself Aegis: authenticator (I really have no idea where you got the idea that it has anything to do with email) Brawl stars & Roblox: Games, but they are COMPLETELY different games Tiktok: Entertainment (even though I don't use it for that)
Look, you know, the human brain loves closure; I don't feel right mentally knowing I could lose a 27,392,919-day streak tomorrow if I don't reply to my friend Wallace. We've only been communicating through stickers for 3 years now—I don't even know where he is or what his face looks like anymore.
It actually makes sense, since Brave is based on Chromium, it's more of a fact than an opinion to say they aren't completely independent from Google.
I've actually heard good things about Firefox, and I like the idea of a lightweight browser, but the interface really put me off. I'm going to give Fennec a shot, and if I remember, I'll come back here to give my take on what I thought of it.
I install ublock origin
