I literally say beware and protect yourselves. It's highly likely it is a scam. There are people that make content off breaking these scams, analyzing what kind if mslware these attacks use, and tracing back any calls home from said malware to find the creator/those who are sharing said malware and stealing from people.

The real scam is paying $100 for a digital rental. Or worse yet, a pre-order of a digital rental which can't run out of inventory, but 🤷♂️
