My buddy works at NOAA's GFDL, who develops the GFS model. A quarter of his team was illegally fired back in February during the DOGE bullshit, including folks who work on our hurricane models.
It's all part of project 2025. Defund and gut NOAA, then use the degradation of our products and services as an excuse to privatize everything. We are just trying to keep things running, but the government shutdown has only made things worse :/
American here. Our mainstream news outlets barely covers these ICE raids. We're in a full blown dictatorship. Now even Reddit is perma banning anyone who suggests that the 2nd amendment was created for situations like this.
It's definitely infuriating. Anything is "true" in their land of make believe..

I have MAGA family. The first thing they always mention about SNAP is how "welfare queens" are gaming the system, even though they were all on food stamps at one point. It's purely all about racism and punching down. They don't like the idea of black and brown people eating on "their" taxdollars. However, when my brother was on food stamps, it was out of "necessity" because he relied on SNAP to feed his step children.
It's their catch all term for any policy that helps average Americans. After all, licking billionaire's butts is just too irrestible for these class traitors.
