Porn or sex addiction isn't a thing. In general, people who struggle with porn or sex are living in social environments that have pathologized them, and the struggle is in trying to conform to social expectations that make normal human experiences taboo.

That's an awful situation to be stuck in. :( I've had the same frustration with both friends and therapists, that there's no guarantee of things getting better. It's just a way for them to ignore the terrible burden I'm carrying so they don't have to take any of it on themselves.
