I managed to never drop a penny on Epic. The game launcher relaunch with all the propoganda put me in a state of "voting with my dollar" where I decided I'd give it a year or two before I tried out their storefront. Then when they decided to sick all the fortnite kids on Apple in this pathetic attempt to get attention on their case, I was like nope never buying a thing. Apple of course, can also eat my ass

I keep seeing people urging to go back to cast iron or stainless steel, but when I left the nest 5 years ago, I picked up ceramic pans, and you can use them the same way as teflons and I have yet to lose the nonstick.

Just one server, but multiple "services" (i.e. Jellyfin, Minecraft, Discord bots, Wordpress, etc). Server is kind of a misnomer there

I am LITERALLY in the process of migrating my servers to my new NixOS server after months of prep work. This couldn't have been more timely lol Funniest part is, I just did my own TPM based encryption on my drives.

In addition to the mentions that this isn't encrypted, doesn't have video chat, etc, it's also difficult to set up with little documentation and an enormous tech stack. They also had some recent controversy about open source licensing that gives me a bit of worry. I decided to go with a self-hosted synapse server.

Wait wait wait, you said it was a gay man that was stabbed? Sorry, my hands are tied. Playbook says gay guys can't get stabbed.

I'm glad that the entire millennial generation is just you. Again, I'm a late millennial and I was barely older than 10 when YouTube came out and I was watching both that and Google Video before they were acquired. That stuff doesn't have to be just one generation only.

I have to imagine it's because Socrates also believed that writing and reading information harmed our thinking. He thought that memory was the most important, and expected oral recollections of all his teachings.

...which definitely sounds like more criticism of youth 😂

Only minorly on that front. I'm right on the youngest end of the millenials, and I was 15 when it first surfaced. It took only a couple years for Cartoon Network to pick it up, so it definitely captured an audience, though it may have been a mix of zoomers and the latest millennials. But it certainly doesn't detract from my point, and it can definitely be substituted for stuff like Homestar Runner or Salad Fingers.

This generational hatred will never end.

Were millennials not brainrotted when we were younger? We watched The Annoying Orange and Charlie the Unicorn. The most subscribed YouTube channel was Fred.

The Innuendo Studios series' on YouTube Alt-Right Playbook and Why Are You So Angry especially illustrate this well and I highly recommend watching. It's very similar to what happened during gamergate. A lot of men who are frustrated are misled by these reactionary campaigns. Just like everyone else, they face the struggles of patriarchy, toxic masculinity, capitalism, etc. But Andrew Tate tells them it's not their fault, and reassures their insecurities that they're good guys, and tells them that the problem is women.
