That's when I just put the airflow on "feet". Most cars will actually blow like 30% up on the windshield when set to the feet direction. This lets me avoid running the a/c if I don't want to.

Off topic but out of curiosity, how many people actually work in a data center? I've always wanted to work in one but got the impression that there are only a small number of people, maybe a dozen or so, dedicated to keeping the hardware running.
But hearing how it's affected you makes me think it might not be the best choice for me. I worked from home for about 5 years up to and during COVID, and honestly can relate to feeling less comfortable in social situations after a while. I think the first year or so I was fine and then started to notice the decline of actually wanting to interact with other people.
I felt the same way, but have been finding Ubuntu Core to be a nifty OS for running as a VM.
Still true that bypassing TPM means major upgrades are disabled and requires manual install by iso?
I am confident you have it exactly backwards. In the summer fan pushes air down to create active airflow that cools you through increased evaporation.
In the winter, fan pulls air up creating circulation to avoid cold spots in the room. Being able to feel air movement makes people feel cooler even if the air is the same temperature as they are.
Followed a similar path as you - a few months ago. I went from using the self-compiled infinity app on Reddit, (which so far still works) to Voyager on Lemmy. At first I was sort of opening both like 50/50, but now I'm at the point I only open Reddit like if I do a search and need to see an answer that happens to be on Reddit.
Lemmy was a little too slow at first but I see post volume going up slowly, and I keep subscribing to new communities. I share a lot of the sentiment here and am excited to see Fediverse systems continue to succeed and pull people away from the advertisement machines.
My phone and Linux PC's now all do this. Primary partition in use. Updates apply to secondary partition. At next reboot, load the updated partition.
It's so much better that the alternative, I can't wait for Windows 14 to adopt it.
Anacdotaly I suspect most car software bugs aren't hunted or patched at all, unless an exec at the company happens to run into the bug in their personal vehicle and flags it for the development team to fix.
I've heard too many stories of car software issues where the dealer gives it back with a note "reset the battery and tested good" but the bug is still easily reproduced.
Could have named it GroceryList.xls and would probably still be working there 😂

Lamp wire is also fine, often times they are the same / interchangeable.
An amp? Well there's a whole lot of options there from multi channel home theater units down to just a stereo mini amp.
If you just want to power some old speakers I'd lean towards a stereo mini amp on Amazon. Then maybe a cheap bluetooth receiver so you can easily pair your phone for some modern streaming support.
