I went with Dewalt because they had a good price on their power drill when I was looking, then picked up other tools in their line on sale so they can share batteries. I'd say look for whichever has a good price and/or is running a sale.
Yeah, I know there are some Gundam-themed Figure Rise kits (they're even allowed in GBWC), but I worded it that way because of things like Dragon Ball, Kamen Rider, etc.
The majority of my builds are custom painted. That said, I also enjoy the building process, and I really enjoy kitbashing.
I haven't built Lfrith Ur myself yet (it's in the backlog), but all the Witch from Mercury kits are solid builds. Welcome to the hobby! I feel sorry for your wallet.
NGL, I was trying for the same a while back by posting my projects, but stopped because it felt like I was only showing the same handful of people (which is probably accurate) and frankly, uploading pics here is kind of a PITA compared to Reddit or Discord. Also, I've been working on fewer actual Gunpla projects as of late, and was unsure on the exact scope of this community. I should post about that.
I used a small detail brush. The paint was prethinned for airbrush use, but worked fine with a brush.
Probably the MGSD Barbatos and Freedom. They go together very well, all-around solid, and highly articulated for a small package. I have the Wing Zero in the backlog and plan to get to it in the next couple months.
I used acrylic paint... Vallejo Deep Sky Blue I think?
Would your stance change if all the subjects were volunteers?
I don't watch romance anime for this reason.
You gotta do what you gotta do. I've used a bit of blue tac in the palm before to help with holding weapons on a couple kits.
