A short (11 min) sci-fi video of a character on a journey for more knowledge. The creator put in about 120 hours of work across different tools to make this video.

It's pretty cool to see the kind of videos that used to only be possible for large studios are now able to be created by much smaller teams and sometimes just a single individual.

I think it allows a much wider variety of creatives to get their ideas out there without needing to appeal to the interests of investors.

I know videos like this just get downvoted to oblivion on the Fediverse, but I think there's a big difference between "ai slop" where someone just puts in a prompt and clicks a button vs someone who works hard to come up with a storyline, dialog, music and a workflow to keep consistent characters for a video like this.

It's definitely impressive to see what a single person can do with a bunch of bunch of different AI tools.

Until recently, something like this would have only been possible by a large studio.

My new AI-assisted short film is here. Kira explores human cloning and the search for identity in today’s world.

It took nearly 600 prompts, 12 days (during my free time), and a $500 budget to bring this project to life. The entire film was created by one person using a range of AI tools, all listed at the end.
