Beer

I know Budweiser calls itself "the King of Beers" but who decided they get that title? Isn't Yuengling the real king of beers? I need to know.

I have a tradition of trying new beer on Thursdays. I don't work Fridays. So, no worries about putting on a buzz.

They claim to be 127 years old. But have been a big part of the craft beer scene since the 70's.

As the title says, I brewed a Brown Wheat Ale with Applewood-Smoked Leaf Hops. This was my first time using smoked hops and I'm happy with the result. They imparted more of a subtle smoke flavor than smoked malt. Recipe is available here if anyone is interested.

Old firehouse which I actually worked at is now a brewpub!

I guess I haven't been paying attention because I just found another Trappist brewery that I was not aware existed. Apparently opened in 2017. Has anyone tried this? I'm going to pick up some this weekend and report back.

We agreed that Other Half was a better.

3 stops each day Sat/Sun. I've visited two places before. Other 4 were new stops.

Shirt Brothers by Little Fish Brewing. Tastes similar to Rhinegeist Truth but a lot nicer in my opinion.
