The goose men review the expensive version of Ford's affordable ute. Lobo seems like it's going to be the ST-ish trim for Ford trucks.

Fun fact: In Mexico Ford has branded F-150s as the Lobo for a long time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ford_Lobo_Single_Cab.JPG

Right now with some expensive EVs and luxury cars, they are ditching the sunroof in exchange for an all glass roof that doesn't open and has adjustable shade. I was watching a video about the new Polestar 3, and with that car they just have a giant glass roof that doesn't open. I personally think a sunroof that opens is more premium and also it allows you to have more control over how much sunlight your car gets in. I also wonder if in a all glass roof, if it will heat the car up more when it's just parked. Why are luxury cars moving away from sunroof's that open?

The Alpine A110, for Americans who don't know, is a retro-future version of a French sports car by the same name from the early 1970's. It was known for being light and visceral, and the new version is no different. European journalists and enthusiasts have sang the A110's praises for all eight years it's been on the market, but Americans never got a taste on their home roads, until now!

Special shoutout to TST fan Ben C for sharing his car with us!

I’m discombobulated as to why they posted videos so often leading up to the unveil of this car, of the camoflauged production version of this car when they aren’t releasing the production version until next year. They even posted videos of the production version drifting and accelerating.

I don’t care much for the front end of the concept and don’t think it looks Mercedes enough. It seems like the current generation SL was a big inspiration for rhe porportions and hesldights of the SL (if you rotate the headlights their basically SL headlights) but besides that it doesn’t really have a Mercedes look to it.

The interior is pretty nice looking to me and I like how much creativity looks like went into it but the screen is absolutely too massive, they went from tablets to tv screens.

Sadair’s Spear — In celebration of the horse that Jesko von Koenigsegg rode his final race on in 1976. Fittingly for a car named for a racehorse, the car is designed to be 100% focused on outstanding track performance.

With increased power, reduced weight, and a more track-focused interior, upgraded brakes and suspension, and finely tuned aerodynamics, Sadair’s Spear delivers an extraordinary combination of blistering track capability and sets a new bar in Koenigsegg´s performance evolution.

So, after tearing into BYD he's tearing into Lotus. Although he loves the Emira (and loved his Evora) he really digs into the company, mostly for customer support issues and the Geely goals. His reasons remind me of the same reasons Harry (Harry's Garage) got rid of his Emira. In contrast the Test Drive guys just put out their one-year Emira ownership video and sing it's praises with only a couple of issues during the last year and nothing to do with the customer support.

Everytime I read a review about a manual transmission car from those big 3 german brands, the consensus is that they are all pretty bad in terms of making transmissions, especially modern BMW. (Minus Porsche obviously)

Why does it seem like they have never been able to make a decent manual, while American brands have simply outsourced the work to Tremec and have some of the best manuals on the Market?

Ford Mustang Dark Horse, CT5V/4V BW, Camaro models, C7 Corvettes all have exceptionally good manual transmissions compared to their equivalent german counterparts.

James May recently had the chance to drive the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider and wrote this review for The Sunday Times. Here’s a preview:

“This is a ‘proper’ front-engined V12 Ferrari, displacing 6.5 litres (making it a 542) and producing 819bhp. There are no turbos and no hybrid drive, just 12 holes plugged with demented metal that will spin the crankshaft up to 9500rpm.”

(Heads up, there may be a potential paywall encounter with this link.)
