Some say it’s the GR GT, others insist it’s the long rumored LFR. With all the conflicting reports and speculation, it’s hard to know what to believe anymore. Is this supposed to be a full blown Lexus halo car, or just another GR branded performance project

Maserati is bleeding money and sales, but is adamant it's not going to be sold despite reports.

This question goes mostly towards people familiar with EU code and car market knowledge. Why do car manufacturers stop selling performance models citing strict emmision laws in the EU while simultaneously selling cars using the same or bigger engines. For example Hyundai stopped selling the i20n which features a 1.6l turbocharged engine while still selling the kona with the same 1.6l turbocharged engine (although a bit detuned). Looking in the carbon emmisions, the bmw z4m produces 179g/km of co2, while the now discontinued hyundai 158g/km and the also discontinued mx5 nd 2.0 156g/km, the kona I mentioned before produces 151-163 g/km of co2. I tried searching EU regulation and everything is extremely vague and hard to find. Can someone explain what dictates which car can or cannot be sold in the EU.

This looks confusing to use. Why did they have to reinvent the wheel? Maybe it's cost cutting.

Given that Chevy actually attempts an official Nurburgring Lap, is there any chance that the ZR1X will be able to get close to or even dethrone the AMG One?

Not sure if there is anyway of knowing before a time is released, or if its just a crazy thing to even think is possible.

It has the power, Chevy suspension, aerodynamics, etc.

https://www.kimera-automobili.com/k39

For people unaware, last year Kimera, the builder of the Evo 37 and 38 Lancia reimaginings/restomods, announced that they would be building a car specifically to compete at and win Pikes Peak. They wanted to break the overall record with this car, not just the ICE record. This was announced last year with plans to compete this year, yet Pikes Peak is this weekend and I can't find any recent mention of this car anywhere. It seems like everyone forgot about it. My 2 guesses at this point are

  • Kimera realized this would take much longer than a year, it's still being worked on
  • Kimera realized beating the EV record would be an extremely hard task and canned the idea for the time being

and the less likely 3rd option, it's happening, but they're just not going to say a single thing about it until this weekend, which I find unlikely.

Anyone else remember this? Any idea what happened to it? I just figured I would mention it since I literally can't find a single thing about it recenetly that isn't just from the announcement last year.

The guys over at Savagegeese do a quick technical review of the new ZR1, with some clips of talking with the engineers and technical specs. Love a good deep dive into the car that Savagegeese always provides
