I went down a deep rabbit hole to unintentionally come across this car.

It's called the Indigo 3000 by Jösse Car

The Wikipedia page is brief enough for a quick read, but tl;dr here are the key points:

  • weighs approximately 2,200 lb. / 1,000 kg. thanks to composite body panels and aluminum spaceframe
  • rear wheel drive, 5-speed manual and a Volvo 3.0 inline 6, an engine from their final days of making RWD sedans (the 960)
  • used parts of various Saabs / Volvos, so a very Swedish car indeed

Would you buy a car like this brand new? What would you justify paying for it?

The guys at PFI Speed had something special in the shop today. A legit Bugatti T37A Factory Supercharged (one of 79 supercharged made) The detail alone is amazing. Then watching them working to get it running properly on methanol was was interesting. Such a cool piece of history.

Let's say you have a very high income and you can afford many of the cars you want. How many cars would be personally cumbersome?

This will definitely depend on the type of cars you like (new, used, very used, etc). I mean you have to maintain them and store them.

There's also a point where having more just doesn't make you any happier. Where's that point for you?

I still find this design striking but was hoping for more cargo capacity with the seats up. 22 cuft gets beat by the 24.8 of the Civic hatch, really leaves very little reason to get this over the Civic. Should have left a couple more of those 11 inches chopped off the sedan and given it more of a niche.
