The more time I spend on car auction sites, the more I realize that I've missed some awesome opportunities.

(And I've also hit some - like my S2K)

Are there any that you just think about like "damn, what was I thinking not bidding on that?"

I'll drop mine in the comments - love to hear some others share their suffering :)

Hopefully it doesn't take after the recent Lamborghini Countach.

Just watched it live as the President announced it:

Politics aside, this will have tremendous impact on the U.S. auto market, from high end brands like Porsche to many regular consumer vehicles built in Mexico such as models from the Big Three.

Even if foreign automakers responds by investing more in the U.S. for manufacturing, considering that it takes years for an auto plant to go online, we are looking at highly inflated auto prices for everyone for years to come.

Just a fairly dumb question - why can we replace the ice engine with an electric motor mated to a traditional manual gearbox. Yes it's extra complexity and of course pretty inefficient due to drive train losses from engine to the wheel but atleast we can retain the manual transmission aspect of driving.

Edit- thanks everyone for explaining this to me. I guess I'll withdraw my funding application with VCs

The lower trims of the Telluride, the LX and S, have their turn signals located below the tail lights, on the bumper. Seen here (at timestamp 1:48)

The higher trims, the EX and SX, have the turn signal in the "normal" location, seen here (at timestamp 0:26). I'm not affiliated with either YouTube channel, they were simply the first ones I found that demonstrated both different locations.

Have any other cars done this? Do any other models currently do it?

Summary: Tesla's German factory consistently has a high amount of workers out sick. The company has mailed workers that they wouldn't be paid anymore if they're sick, and demands that workers tell their doctors to tell Tesla about their health/diagnosis. Both of which are big no-nos under German law. (It's worth noting that "limited sick days" are a foreign concept in germany, too).

The company already got into hot water last year, when it surfaced that the company sent people to "check" if people who had called in sick were home, unannounced. It seems like Tesla is trying to shoehorn in US-conditions at their German factory, not understanding that we got different laws.
