The picture above is a mockup of what happened this morning as I didn't take a screenshot.

I was browsing Wikipedia when I noticed a round, "Apple Intelligence"-like icon hovering over the web page.

When I clicked on it to see if I could dismiss it, it disappeared and never came back.

What's super weird is that there is absolutely no documentation on Apple's website, yet it didn't feel part of the webpage itself as it very clearly spilled over the edge of the page when navigating back.

Does anyone know what it is? Thanks!

We cant see general statistic for what apps use the most battery, only per day basis. Am i missing something or this is realy true?

That is so stupid, it was wery usefull to see what app you use the most, what is draining your battery the most, and meaby decide to change some habbits..

Liquid Glass feels like one of those tacky themes you’d download to a computer or Android phone, run for 10 minutes, then delete. I’m not some anti-change guy, I loved the flat UI when it came out, it felt sleek and modern yet professional and unpretentious.

It’s not the end of the world or anything, I don’t hate it, but my phone interface feels childish now where it didn’t before.

Not sure if this was possible in prior versions to 26, at least I didn’t know how to do this: it is possible to create an empty playlist folder and using multi gestures it is possible to move one or several playlists in or out of said folder. In order to do this in the past I always needed to open up my MacBook and open the music app there to do so.

So basicly i created second page in control panel and moved all the things that i dont use there.

So my control panel was wery clean with just a couple of things that i actualy use. But than i notice issue that i didnt even know existed. When i pull down control panel, instead of showing first page that is marked as “heart” one it shows me the second page with things that i newer use. What a veird thing!

It happends from time to time but its wery anouing, honestly im not used to having any bugs on my iphone..

Anyone else having this issue? I have iphone xs 256GB with latest Ios 18.6.2

I'm currently stuck on iOS and have recently moved from Outlook to Apple's own mail app for privacy. After some testing I noticed that it's vulnerable to DNS Prefetch and video tags. I've disabled loading external images, so I'm confused as to why it's trying to fetch videos? I'm used to how Thunderbird does things by showing emails as plaintext.

I want to jailbreak my XR. I am in 18.6, which cannot be jailbroken. I want ti downgrade it to the latest jailbreak compatible version.

For Android I've used SyncThing for ages. Any way to break out of the Apple ecosystem for photo syncing?

I have noticed recently that when I print on iOS (iPhone or iPad) that it prints the headers and footers ave I cannot find an option to disable it.

I installed my printer's app to see if there is an option in there to disable them and there is nothing.

When I print from my MacBook there is an option to disable them in the print dialog.

Is it possible to disable headers and footers on iOS when printing from Safari?

I am one of those ND that controls their divergence with alarms. And yesterday I ended one of my work alarms instead of snoozing it. This caused me to miss placing my weekly order with one distributor.

When I was an android user I had an app called Alarm Clock Xtreme. 7/8ths of the screen was a snooze button, and there was a small button to end the alarm. You could configure the snooze duration. And when ending, or snoozing you could require a puzzle, or solution of a variable difficulty math problem.

This prevented me from ever ending an alarm when I meant to snooze it.

Sadly the android app I used does not have an iOS counterpart. Does anyone know of an alarm app that at the very least is difficult to turn off?

I am willing to pay for an app, but will not do a subscription.

I'm not a regular user of iOS, but was given an old iPhone 7 and got an AirPort Express, so I'm looking for an app that allows me to stream music from Youtube to my stereo. :D

The app was already in the EU AppStore but recently it was approved for the global AppStore too! This app allows you to run JIT for supported side loaded apps without the need of jailbreaking or using another device (you do need a PC to set it up though). With this you can emulate Wii, Nintendo Switch (YES THE NINTENDO SWITCH) and 3Ds with more apps to come because they have yet to add support for this method.

Apple did say that they plan on patching this method, making it obsolete in the future. It is generally expected to be patched in iOS19.

how do you manage your pictures (saved, screenshots, wallpapers, etc.) vs. your photos on your ios device? if you use the photo app: how do you separate them?

I saw this list of Adobe alternatives floating around Blue Sky yesterday. I was wondering if there was something similar for iOS apps. Open-source and/or free alternatives to subscription based apps owned by mega corps. Also open to alternatives made by indie developers.

Does anybody know what this blue icon is in the status bar on iOS? Showed up after downloading from Safari cleared downloads and forced closed Safari but doesn’t seem to go away. Any ideas what it means and how to get rid of it? Thanks.

I’ve been wishing for this for years, but it seems I’m to only one that finds them annoying. Hoping maybe someone knows a setting somewhere I’ve missed or possibly something introduced in iOS 18.

To be clear, I’m not talking about Messages notifications you get notifying you of a message while you’re not in the app; I’m talking about the send/receive sounds the phone plays while you’re in the Messages app texting with someone.

TYIA! 🙏

This is driving me nuts. I think it’s “Optimized Battery Charging” notifying me that the battery is fully charged which happens 30-60 minutes before my alarm goes off.
