Taken with a $200 potato phone from my kayak. In the summertime the water is much higher, covered in lily pads, and the slots are boat-filled.

Why would the Chesapeake bay lose water during the winter? Makes me feel like this is on a lake that depends on snow melt.

The tide swings can get pretty large in any season on the bay; there’s also wind-effect tides as well. This photo could be nearly anywhere, my guess is just conjecture from seeing what looks like brackish water and a dilapidated covered dock.

I wish there were tides on Lake of fhe Woods. It's surrounded by dams that keep the water level pretty consistent, unless there isn't enough water to go around like it's been lately. I have another pic somewhere from when I was able to kayak through the pipes/channels under the roads where there used to be creeks.

That’s got to be a great photo, too!
