This app could potentially supplant Tik Tok overtime. As Tik Tok's censorship following it's acquisition by US investors such as Oracle, Silver Lake, and Abu Dhabi-based MGX, and UpScrolled already having questionable ethics, this may be the path forward.

It would be amazing to ditch the company control and so. The main problem is that it's difficult to get users to join it. I mean just look at how many people still use reddit and discord.

It's a chicken and an egg problem. We don't have to worry about what other people do, only ourselves.

Yeah, that's why it's so hard to ditch those major platforms. Because you could join an alternative but it would likely mean not being able to interact with many things, not sure if I would make that trade-off.
