Several factors behind a nearly 80 per cent reduction in troubling assaults during pandemic, says force

Looks like my Telus discounts expired and I wasn't paying attention. Every couple of years this happens and I have to play the call customer support and threaten to cancel game to get my bill down. I see that both Rogers and Telus have Black Friday deals, but after 2 years the price goes up again.

I found out about another company named Oxio.ca that has no contracts and cheaper prices than Telus. They operate on Rogers network, similar to what Tek Savvy was doing. I'll follow up with another post once the service gets connected (should be Dec 6). I'll put my referral code in in case anyone else is sick of Rogers / Telus and wants a month free (I get a month free too)

Now I get to call TELUS to cancel my services because there is no option to online. Plenty of options to add services though...

Edit: If anyone actually reads this, Oxio is solid. No problem to set up and support techs are great as well. You can't call them, only text or email but they get back to you quickly. Contacted them the first few days, mainly for mistakes I made and have had solid, consistent internet ever since.

I assume there are others that also don't check the subreddit that much.

If this is something Reddit wants to contribute to for the good of our local community, then great, I'm game.

Just curious because I ride the trolleybuses a lot and they seem, at least to me, like they're already the solution to electrifying bus transit in Vancouver. What was Translink's rationale for going with battery busses instead of adding trolley wires to new routes and electrifying using a method they already have experience with instead of relying on proprietary and presumably very expensive fast charging points?

What do you think? Should they still go with trolleybuses for electrification or use battery busses instead?

Actually, does anyone know how Translink's battery electrification project is coming along? I haven't seen the battery busses on the Marine Drive corridor for a while and can't tell if they're still running them. Is the pilot project over and do they plan on implementing it for real?

On average there are 22 car crashes resulting in death/injury in the city every day. This is a public safety and public health crisis, and automated enforcement with speed and red light cameras is an effective and efficient way to make roads safer.
