This is the soundtrack for NEOTOKYO°, a game mod. Been listening to it for years. It's great all the way through so I recommend you give it a listen if you haven't heard it before.

What cyberpunk work (movie, book, tv show, etc.) would you say is the most "punk"? What has the best non-conformist middle-finger-to-authority "punk" feel?

I mean, it's obviously Hackers, right? Nothing says "punk rock" like roller blading down the streets of NYC. Or maybe something more gritty like Hardware, with a cameo from Iggy Pop?

Obviously those are terrible examples. I was just trying to think of which cyberpunk work really captures the punk part of cyberpunk and I can't think of any really good examples. I'm sure there's something obvious I'm forgetting though.

I'll admit this is one area of cyberpunk I'm totally ignorant of.

I've never seen any of these movies. And after watching this video... I'm not sure if I ever need to.

The Steam Summer Sale has started. What are you getting and what do you recommend?

It’s got the low life high tech thing, the unfuckwithable slums the enforcers stay out of, glowing neon bullshit everywhere, an oppressive tyrannical regime with intense social stratification, and tons of different factions competing for influence in all the different SW eras. It’s also a megacity and there’s drugs and guns all over the place.

Star Wars itself isn’t cyberpunk overall (being a space opera and all), but Coruscant feels like it to me.

I’ve always been curious bout the possibilities of a live action series focused on the city. There’s so many different environments to play with and so many different groups of people to ally with or betray each other.

I mean, not that I’d want to see Disney do it, because it would be fucking awful. Just, you know, conceptually I think Coruscant is one of the coolest places in the franchise and always wanted to see more stuff set there outside the boring senate chambers and top level landing platforms we usually see.

By way of one of the least cyberpunk channels, this guy has made the most cyberpunk cocktail. I think it's delicious.

This game is a tad older, and time and time again, I'm surprised that nobody seems to know it. So, I'm just putting this our here, so you have heard about it ;-)

Having to deal with cybersecurity from time to time, I get the impression that reality is more and more turning into a real cyberpunk dystopia.

OK, we do not have flying cars, spaceships or offworld colonies like in blade runner, but we do have

• hackers, state-hackers, hacktivists, ... sometimes disabling complete industries
• There is a rise of AI
• There is to power of big companies (like the big tech companies) who control the thinking-process of millions (although they do not yet have mercenaries)
• there is the all-connected internet, without which devices stop working.
• there is the influence of regllious minorities
• there is not yet that much cybernetics in the sense of people walking around with augmentic implants, but the science of microbiology is doing some very crazy stuff the last couple of years with DNA and CRISPR

And there is Climate change that is looms over everything!

Any comments or thoughs?

I just started a nascent cyberpunk fashion brand because inflation is killing me and I'm trying to figure out my next item. This could be a necklace, earrings, bracelet, or broach. Thoughts?
