If I understand correctly, the only way to access the playtest is by getting an invite through Steam from someone who already has access.

~~So, simple question. Will someone be so kind to invite me?~~

Changelog

  • Getting damaged during the initial launch window (0.6s) after using a Jump Pad will cause you to be stunned (similar to ziplines having an initial knockoff period). When you are stunned, you will lose control and continue towards the landing destination. The stun will wear off 0.2s after landing, and then a 30% slow for 2s will apply. Damage over time does not trigger this (same damage rules as ziplines).

Changelog[ General ]

  • Mid Boss HP is now fixed at the spawn time. Base HP increased from 6725 to 12500 and growth reduced from 470 to 200.

  • Reworked Rejuv reward from Mid Boss. No longer buffs troopers, reduces respawn time and buffs various stats. Upon death, 3 rejuv crystals fall to the ground (4 for subsequent midboss kills). Claiming one now grants you in place revive after 3s. If you already claimed one and claim another, it'll go to an ally (priority is closest allies first, then most recent dead allies). Dying with Rejuv no longer counts as a kill/death nor gives out bounties. While you have the Rejuv buff, you gain the following: +20% Max HP, +20% Fire Rate, and +15% Spirit Damage. Gaining the buff heals you to full and lasts up to 7 minutes.

  • Meleeing a mantling enemy no longer cancels their mantle, instead it applies 80% movement slow that ramps down to 20% over 2s.

  • Adding a debuff that makes you climb ropes 40% slower for 4s after you've taken player damage. This debuff only exists when you're on a rope, and tapers off to 0% in the last 1s of the damage window.

  • Slight reduction to the amount of turning you can do while performing a heavy melee

  • Light melee base damage reduced by 20% (except for Viscous, Calico and Bebop)

  • Heavy Melee cooldown increased from 0.9s to 1.0s

  • Heavy Melee cooldown when missing increased from 0.9s to 1.3s

  • Parried stun duration is no longer reduced by debuff resistance

  • Parry bonus damage is no longer melee specific, now affects all damage types (reduced from 35% to 30%)

  • Heroes now have different dash speeds (same distance, slower to get there). They are placed into 3 buckets to start, Bucket 1: +5%, Bucket 2: -5%, Bucket 3: -15%.

  • Hero bounties are now reduced based on the amount of players, similar to the trooper mechanic. (Means kills are less efficient/rewarding when its a big group, 1/2/3/4/5/6 players are 100/100/90/85/80/75% efficient)

  • Movespeed Slow when shooting reduced from -30% to -25%

  • Side Walkers HP increased by 10%

  • Objectives no longer have 20-25% Spirit Resistance

  • The following abilities now do 50% damage to objectives: Last Stand, Storm Cloud, Hyper Beam, Heavy Barrage

  • Trooper: Walk speed increased from 6.1 to 6.3

  • Trooper: Run speed increased from 11 to 13

  • Minor respawn curve reductions (19 min from 40s to 35s, 30 min from 80s to 75s, 40 min is still 85s)

  • Update the Zipline Knockdown to make the players go straight down and not start the stun timer until they hit the ground

I saw some comments elsewhere that complained that every hero is now able to be gun focused.

And I thought: Duh!

For me the balancing goal would be that every hero has the potential to be used for gun or spirit, but with difference in range (melee, close, far), duration (spike, continued) and CC/escape abilities.

Therefore I found it bad that before only certain characters were seen as worth being used for a gun / spirit build and now it's up to the match, team composition and enemy team behaviour and you can react accordingly.

If you belong to the other faction, can you explain your reasoning to me, so I can understand it?

[ Map Changes ]

Mid Lane Rework (between Guardians):

  • Removed the Arch Monument.
  • Removed the rope entrances to Mid Boss.
  • Removed barrels and kiosk low cover.
  • Replaced bridge with a larger version.
  • Added stairway entrance to Mid Boss.
  • Moved the veil areas to fit with the new bridge.
  • Veil areas connect to Mid Boss.
  • Extended the wall cover further toward the bridge.

Mid Boss Changes:

  • Started Mid Boss Sewer theming.

  • Added connection from the rope shafts to upper area of Mid Boss.

  • Increase height of entrances to rope shafts from Mid Boss.

  • Added sloped mounds on side of stairs from the pit.

[ Gameplay Changes ]

  • Flex Slot changed from "Two Guardians" to "Three Guardians"

  • Guardian and Walker total bounty is now split with all nearby players (including players that have done damage to it within 20s). Nearby players get 40% and the rest is split evenly with all 6 players (including those nearby).

  • Trooper damage to Walkers reduced from 80 DPS to 60 DPS

  • Hero Kill bounty increased from 250->1800 to 300->2000 (over 40 minutes, previously over 45 minutes)

  • Killing heroes no longer spawns orbs, instead the souls are directly awarded to the killer and assisters

  • Destroying objectives no longer spawns orbs, instead the souls are directly awarded to the killer and their team

  • Trooper base bounty reduced from 132 to 120

  • Trooper bounty growth per minute increased from 1 to 1.5

  • Time holding Urn before taking damage reduced from 90s to 45s (1% max health damage per second)

  • Time Urn will Autorun back to Home regardless of nearby players reduced from 75s to 45s

  • Time an Urn will wait for a nearby player to pick it up reduced from 20s to 12s

  • Cleaned up how boons are distributed. Previously some levels gave stat bonuses and some AP/Unlocks, now every level gives one of each. Power rebalanced on abilities and items to be the same overall as before. Total AP given out reduced from 32 to 29, total stat levels increased from 20 to 32 (but rescaled in value such that they are the same overall as before).

  • Walker HP increased by 10%

  • Walker Spirit Resist reduced from 40% to 30%

  • Soul Orb auto claim radius reduced from 40m to 35m

  • Headshot multiplier reduced from 1.9x to 1.8x

  • Fixed some issues with hitting troopers while on ziplines
