Seriously, the Mystic Chromatic Ooze is one of the coolest novelty items in the game. If you’ve ever used it, you know how awesome it is. It gives your character the permanent armor effect of The Juggernaut, your armor glows with a unique, liquid-metal shine that reflects the colors of your surroundings.

But for some reason, it still only lasts 5 minutes...

That’s insanely short compared to other novelty items, which usually last 60 minutes or are infinite once unlocked. As far as I know, no other novelty item has such a short duration. Why?

And to make it worse, it’s still not in the novelty tab, so you can’t slot it or access it like other toys or transformations. It’s been years since this item came out, did Anet just forget it exists?

Please, if any devs see this:

  • Increase the duration to something reasonable (at least 60 minutes or make it infinite)
  • Add it to the novelty section so we can use it like every other toy

It’s such a cool item, but it’s barely usable in its current state. Would love to see it finally get the attention it deserves.

Anyone else still holding onto this and wishing it got some love?

Hi all, new player here. Finally started the elite spec for Weaver, love the sword as a weapon, however I feel like I screwed myself with my build. Throughout the core story I've chosen stats mainly in power, precision, and condition dmg, and now I'm getting two tapped while attempting to use the weaver sword. Should I change stats? Change elites? What's your opinion... TIA

Edit: I am still finishing the personal story

Im very tired of WoW's treadmill of getting gear. I cant do this every expansion.

I feel like there's a lot to learn in gw2 but I see it has huge potential for me to enjoy.

A few days ago ArenaNet started teasing what very much appears to be new elite specs with the 2025 expansion that should be announced on July 15th. A new image is being posted every couple of days counting down until then. Since the nature of reddit means earlier posts are disappearing as the days go on I thought making a mega thread could be useful as we wait the next 10 days until the full reveal.

Links to ArenaNet's Posts:

And here are the discussion threads here on the subreddit:

Official wiki page for the 6th Expansion: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2:_Sixth_expansion

Feel free to use this thread for whatever expansion discussion the community wants to have and I'll continue to update this with the new bluesky and discussion threads when they are posted by ArenaNet and the community.

It just seems that for 99% of PVE, going with power builds is just better than going with condi builds, no? Power builds generally have the same range of DPS as condi builds, but power builds have better burst access.

The only advantage I can think of is that building expertise helps with increasing soft cc (immob/weaken/etc.) durations but that's useless against defiant enemies. Defiance bars are also better dealt with hard cc (stun/knockback/etc.) skills (which also usually deals more power damage) instead.

Open-world / Dungeons - every build goes here since open-world and dungeons are on the easier side of PVE but the burst of Power builds makes mobbing encounters faster and way easier. Soft cc helps makes encounters easier but killing them faster helps more.

Fractals - Encounters generally having short-phases means power's burst is king and condi doesn't even have time to ramp up to deal good dps.

Strikes / Raids - Power and condi generally have the same range of DPS benchmarks. IMHO the thing that matters more here usually is being ranged over melee to be able to dps while moving for boss mechanics.

Thoughts?
