Hi, how to check if One-Click-Hoster download links are online/offline without jdownloader? Any tool or website?

Thanks for any help :)

Up until recently I was relying on something called Trakt but it has become increasingly unreliable or erratic - it just seems to randomly rearrange the order of its older movie releases now

https://app.trakt.tv/users/giladg/lists/latest-releases?ref=trakt-og-autoredirect

What are the best alternative new releases sites please?

Preface: I personally don't care if it's legal or not, I'm gonna do it anyway. But, I wanted to pose the question here to people who are smarter than me to get your opinions. Plus, my partner is completely anti-piracy so I can only enjoy it by myself and it makes me kind of sad to do so. So it'd be nice to give them a reason to consider it. Also also, I am not knowledgeable enough to even know if this is a stupid question, so please be kind.

I saw an old post/comment chain that the stremio + rd + torrentio combo is "technically" legal in the states due to some workaround about distributing vs consuming. You're also not downloading anything or torrenting anything. I know that on their own, Stremio and RD are perfectly legit sites. But adding Torrentio into the mix is where it gets the spicy flavor. Now that some years have passed and that post might be outdated, what are your thoughts now? Is there a case to be made in favor of this being legal?

Is f2movies truly gone this time?

It's been down for the last couple of days.

I found some torrents for series, but I don't get any seeders. Please recommend torrent sites that hook me up better. Are torrents the right approach at all? What would be better?

Hello everyone, how are you? First of all, I'm new here, and I didn't see anything about this type of post in the rules, so I believe I'm not violating any rules, right? I don't know if I can mention the name of the software here, so I chose not to, unless it's allowed. That's why I censored the logo image that contains its name, and the text with its name.

It's a POS system, I think only available here in Brazil. I can't find the logo to change it. In fact, there are almost no images. I tried accessing the images with Resource Hacker, Resource Turner, and similar programs, but nothing worked. The bitmaps simply don't appear.

Searching online, I found two identical software programs. I downloaded them, and when I checked, it was exactly the same system/software. Someone pirated them and managed to change the images and some other system features, but unfortunately, they released pirated versions and also offered them for sale with a trial mode. So, yes, you can change it; I just couldn't do anything, not even with the help of AI.

I want to use it to manage my business. I've gone back to working with food delivery, and this software is very good. With it, I can control incoming and outgoing funds, manage inventory, and do many things in a much more organized way than manually. I used the trial version, and it's very good and easy to use. I want to modify it to put a different logo and system name (my store's name and a different logo on the interface). But it seems impossible; even in the pirated versions I mentioned, I couldn't find the logo or change the window texts. In their folder, there's a logo.bmp file; I changed the image and nothing changed, I removed the image and nothing changed, meaning the logo.bmp in the main folder is useless.

I'm not a programmer, but I've enjoyed tinkering with these things since I was little, and I'm always tinkering with everything to modify something. But this software is impossible; even with AI help, I couldn't find the logo that appears on the interface or change the texts. Can anyone help me?

Hi all!

Looking to get back into pirating more music. Torrent sites don't have a large selection. Other options have poor quality.

I've been looking into alternatives like Soulseek, but can't find how to bind that to VPN like I do with Qbit.

I've heard the risks are lower, but I'd still prefer to bind to VPN. I know from experience that kill switches are unreliable. Is this possible in soulseek or something similar (preferably OSS and with ok sound quality).

I've read the FAQ, megathread and done a search and didn't find anything.

does anyone know where I can find a Spotify ipa that I can side with sidestore? I’m also all ears to learning about a way I can stream/listen to music without a YouTube music subscription

I'm want to move away from Spotify but my current Lidarr setup isn't doing very well at finding music. Are there any torrent sites dedicated to music?

Let me know if you've been using any service... Thanks!

Unless publishing gatekeepers adopt drastically more equitable practices and become partners in disseminating knowledge, they will continue to lose ground to open access alternatives, legal or otherwise.

90

I've always used the one on rentry but the one linked in this sublemmy(?) is this one: https://wiki.dbzer0.com/piracy/megathread/ however, it seems to be a little outdated? there are several dead links etc so should I just use the one on rentry?

I would like to get into torrenting including private trackers, seeding back and all that stuff, while also remaining fairly safe from gov as much as it's possible.

I have multiple reasons not to torrent at home: the internet at home is really bad and I need to do something about it, but even then, I don't want to keep my computer running 24/7, especially that I don't have a very power efficient setup. And I want to seed as much as possible, because I often download obscure files and not many people are seeding… so I want to give back to the community ;).

Another reason is that I don't have that much storage now and it would be beneficial to rent a seedbox with plenty of storage space. Buying several HDDs would still be cheaper in the long run, but I don't have anywhere to put them. I don't have a NAS yet and money to buy one.

I'm afraid that torrenting on a VPS would quickly result in a termination of a deal. And it would be pretty easy to pinpoint who is torrenting. Does anyone have a bad experience with torrenting on a VPS?

Maybe it is possible to connect a VPN to a VPS to add an extra layer of anonymity (privacy?), but that would be an extra cost… so maybe it would be better to live with the risk for a while and save for a NAS and connect a VPN to that?

Hearing about seedboxes I was pretty sure at first that it was all about many people seeding from the same IP, so there is a plausible deniability. But it seems that they are just VPSes with more storage at the expense of performance and with preinstalled software for torrenting. So now I'm even more confused. I also want to host some not piracy-related services in the future, like Grocy and Matrix. Maybe I would just rent another server for these if that was necessary.

I have been pondering about that for a while now and can't decide. What should I do?

Update: I subscribed to ultra.cc and I like it so far. I will try to solve problems with my internet in the meantime (not only torrenting doesn't works, but video calls are unusable too because of stuttering) and then try to move to the local computer. I forgot that I have an old notebook laying around. Having it connected 24/7 will kill the battery of course, but the notebook is worthless and unreliable for daily use anyway.

I am sure most of you might be aware that Google plans to bans the simple act of sideloading [though I presume adb driven sideloading remains] on it's platform in name of security. At the same time Play Store itself remains riddled with malware. However, here I wish to throw light on a different rising case of apps, a set that actually deserves to be pirated.

With the start of the so called subscription driven economy where one time purchases are becoming a thing of the past, everything needs to be a subscription. Some things like a newspaper make sense, a music tracking app does not. Let us turn our eyes to Stats.fm. It aims to link to Spotify/Apple Account and present data in good format. It was a one time purchase back in the day when I barely used Spotify, so I got the legit version. Spotify usually retails for INR [Indian National Rupee] 1200 per year but was retailing for 500 as an initial promotional scheme last week. Fed up with the mess that YT Music is [Yes, I do hoard music via Soulseek as well], I thought why not give Spotify a try. So, I installed both the streaming app and this fancy scrobbling service which as I repeat, was a one time purchase linked to a Google account.

As soon as I open the app, I am told I need to subscribe [bait and switch]. To put salt on wound, their cheapest plans were INR 750 for 6 months, which ironically is equivalent to YT Premium [when equating to per year]. So, what is basically a Last.fm clone with little third party support [Last.fm offers a largely working free tier and has open APIs that make it work with third party plugins/clients] and now did a classic bait; is it not ethical to pirate such kind of stuff?

I would go on a limb and say that Google actually has a case for asking money for YT Premium since they offer 2 services : music and video streaming [yes, the apps are shit, I know that] which incur server costs. But am I to truly believe that equivalent server costs are incurred by err,a music tracking app that ONLY tracks one music client?

As Cory Doctrow coined the term enshittification, we are heading down that route. I am sure many more apps would have done that bait and switch. [I even saw an Wear OS watch face as a yearly subscription option once].

Site equivalent? (slrpnk.net)

For anime I am watching via Animekai thanks to its front page putting focus on current show schedule and an easy to use book mark system.

I am wondering is there any Stream site for Westren Movies and shows? So far most I can find seem to use a front page that focuses on what’s supposedly trending rather then current showings

Edit: found a site that meet my need THX PMmeTrebuchets for the reccomendation

I have some sewing patterns that I would like to share (and hopefully swap) but all of the PDFs have a

"This was purchased by John Doe john.doe@email.com #ordernumber - if you are not John Doe, please dob in the person you got this from to company@example.com so we can sick our lawyers on them"

sorta footer on every single page.

Obviously for privacy reasons (and because I don't actually want lawyers sicked onto me), I need to remove this footer.

These are often complex PDFs with more than a hundred pages and multiple layers.

I managed to successfully remove the editing password (not user/viewing password, just can't edit without password) with qpdf --decrypt. But removing that footer has left me at a dead end. I have even tried manually removing every single instance of those footers using Master PDF Editor but saving the file flattened it and you are no longer able to show/hide layers which is essential for correct printing. (Please don't ask me how many different PDF editors I have tried because it has been so so SO many I have lost count).

Not that I really want to have to manually edit this out on what could amount to over a thousand pages but searching for a command to remove a certain phrase has come up empty. Even Master PDF Editor doesn't seem to have a bulk remove or search and replace function (just search).

I use Linux btw.

Looking for IPTV resources (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Where do I go to find resellers/providers who won't rip me off? I had one that was fine for a year plus, but it's gone under. I found it in a random forum.

American sports and general shows/movies. Adult wouldn't be bad either. lol.

Don't give me direct links to any actual providers, unless I misread the rules. DM is fine though ;)

Since last I checked, every IPTV sub on Reddit was banned. The ones that are left are mostly bots.

Very much on my mind too is where we can talk about this shit now if it's not Reddit or Lemmy.

I was hoping to listen to a one hour weekly show on digital radio station DI.FM https://www.di.fm/

It's an electronic based radio station that used to be free but has since started charging (in my view) a high monthly fee.

Does anybody know if it's possible to bypass the fee requirement via (say) an app or ext?

thanks

I've always felt like the whole docker/jellyfin/plex/loads-of-other-apps stuff is way too overboard just to do a bit of pirating, so I usually just hop on one of the movie/show or anime streaming sites with uBlock Origin installed and watch that way.

Currently I'm looking at what I can setup in the living room, and was thinking of just using an old PC with a wireless keyboard. I would like to use a media center type interface, but I've never actually used Kodi before. Would I be able to just use Kodi to stream from those kinds of services?

Searches so far show that everyone apparently uses Kodi with something called Real Debrid, which I have zero interest in.

So I just figured out that Spotify has stopped letting free users pick specific songs in their own playlists. They let you do it a certain amount of times and I think that is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. Not letting you pick for a searched song is one thing but in your own playlist is pushing it.

Now the only way I found out is from eveespotify. I don’t have the official Spotify just ever before it got hit and spotc++. Should I wait for spotc++ to update and remove that but also do you guys have other side loaded apps for any music software such as ytmusic or Spotify. Thanks in advance
