Typewriters

After gifting my Predom (Facit) to a writer friend that will make much better use of it, I finally made my mind which one clean and set up for use.

I have a Remington with a platen that has had every single letter space indented. I assume the prior owner(s) were hitting the keys hard. I have tried to mitigate the hardness and the extra pressure needed to put ink on the page by adding extra sheets of paper behind my first.

For the #InternationalTypewriterDay, I just bought on eBay my second typewriter

It's an Olympia Dactylette S… and it doesn't look like a good #typewriter. But it seems to work, and I had it for 6,50€, so it's worth a shot (and it has a beautiful colour!). If it works, even badly, I'll be able to type again, as my “daily driver” is still at the repairer, and I'll be happy.

And who knows, maybe it'll be a good surprise?
