For anyone out of the loop like myself:
It's a ptarmigan, probably a white-tailed ptarmigan in its winter plumage. They're in the grouse subfamily, which are related to pheasants and turkeys.It's typically not made from cows' milk, typically doesn't dispense drugs, but eating it might possibly consign you to the underworld.
