This is the plot to the super smash brothers series.
Holy fuck. Melee depicts the characters as becoming Amiibos*. Master Hand just might be the invisible hand. Comodifying beloved characters into plastic junk.

Okay, yes, they weren't Amiibos and Melee predates Amiibos, but they were Nintendo specific little figures. That's why I say Amiibos.
