That guy is someone famous and lost all his money so he did ads, right? I cannot remember his name and it's driving me insane. I think he like... Directed films? If I recall correctly, he was a bit of an ass.

It's Orson Welles. The author of War of the Worlds and I think Citizen Cane. Itch scratched!
Side note, citizen cane is awful. I don't care that it's said to be top cinema. I hate that boring waste of 3hrs.
War of the Worlds was written by H.G. Wells, not Orson Welles. Orson did, however, do that famous radio performance of War of the Worlds in the 30s that ostensibly (but probably not actually according to more modern analysis) caused widespread panic among its listeners.
I always get these two and George Orwell confused. On top of the somewhat similar names, the fact that Orson Welles/H.G. Wells both have that War of the Worlds connection and H.G. Wells/George Orwell both being famous authors doesn't help, either.
Wait there's 3 of them!? I always thought two and when the name was different in media my thought was, "of curse that's just the other one"...
Oh valid, my bad. I saw it in passing when I googled him and put two and two together to make eight lol
